On approach to this hotel all I can say is 'Why didn't I book somewhere else'. The car park was empty at approximately 7pm so I thought we were the only ones going to be there. We were addressed at reception with a scruffy looking person. Which said it all. My room was at the front facing the main road.... More

Some of the rooms (like mine) can only be approached from the garden. Room and bathroom extremely small, simply inappropriate! At the same time the property is at least overpriced. The owner/operator wanted to push everything in the room just to comply, but there was no space for the guests and/or luggage.

When I arrived the reception was unmanned. After 10 mins we received an abrupt welcome from a young lady, I felt we were interrupting something more important. The stairs to the first floor were extremely narrow and uneven. Thus even with a small overnight bag the journey to my room was difficult. My room was very small, see pictures, the... More

My brother-in-law, a retired photographer had taken many wedding photos here and remembered it as very pretty and well maintained. Booking had to be done quickly. My parents were celebrating their 64th wedding anniversary with nearby family and thought it would be a nice treat to spend a couple of nights in a hotel. Arriving late in the evening, they... More

Stayed for one night on Sunday 15th March, visiting daughter, I wasn't able to book in until 1400hrs but was allowed to park my car my car there earlier, which was really helpful, the female receptionist was pleasant enough although there a bit of a language barrier. booked in much later in the afternoon and greeted by a very surly... My mum had booked this hotel for us as a present. We turned up and were asked for the credit card we booked with. Having explained that my mum booked it but that we could call her and confirm, we were told they would only accept written confirmation that payment could be taken on her card. We explained mum is... I have stayed in hotels through work for over 6 years now, and this is actually the 1st review I have made. I was checked in for the week but literally lasted 1 night. £8.50 for wifi per day, dirty rooms, the most unhelpful man I have ever dealt with, a restaurant that doesn't serve food. Need I say more

I've stated at the Tudor lodge before with mixed experiences however I couldn't ignore the £60 rate including breakfast for two through Booking.com. We were in the "old" building which entailed going out the front door where reception was turning right and entering another front door. Reception is a tired dark wood counter behind which sat the receptionist, no smiles... More

Good surroundings. externally looks very good, wouldn't say value for money a bit run down and in need of some attention. I stayed in the rooms around the back of the hotel I could smell smoke in the room and it felt a bit damp. The staff are very good and professional. Breakfast was very good but wouldn't really like... More
