The staff were polite and efficient. The room though small was adequate and clean. Breakfast was equal or better than we have had in five star hotels. After travelling some distance we would have preferred to have an evening meal in the hotel but that was not an option during our stay. I don't know if this is the norm.

It's my mothers funeral tomorrow and we were due to stay at her house but we've arrived and found the place burgled. We can't stay in the house as forensics need to be done so I booked the Tudor lodge. A family member living near the church where the funeral is taking place called and said we're better off staying... More

We stayed at the Tudor Lodge for one night whilst visiting family. My step daughter wanted to pay for the room in advance for us, but the receptionist wouldn't take payment over the phone!! Have never heard of a hotel refusing money before. Room 45 in the annexe was adequate in size, but the whole hotel was SO dated and... More

I booked this hotel .....and then read the reviews and wished I hadn't ! However, my husband and I were perfectly satisfied with our stay. We had room 47 in the newest block. It was clean and neat, plenty of room to move about and there were toiletries in the bathroom - not always there in budget accommmodation. The bedding... More

Despite having a restaurant they did not serve evening meals which is not apparent from the advertising. The bed was awful, I may as well removed the mattress and slept on the base for all the support it gave. Also the water system in the hotel sounded like a Boeing 747 coming in to land. This was not only in... More

An offhand reception by a surly girl was compounded by a scruffy room with broken tiles in the smelly bathroom (no extractor fan). Worn out curtains and tired chipped furniture did nothing to enhance the room's appearance. Worse still was the ill fitting door through which light shone through all night, accompanied in the early hours of a Sunday morning... More

Arrived Saturday 28th for one night stay. Curtains not hung properly, bathroom looked like it hadn't been decorated in years. Cracks in ceiling, plaster hanging off, toilet seat broken, didn't bother to have breakfast, will look for somewhere else next time. No wifi in room even though it said free wifi. Bed was like sleeping on wooden board, mattress had... More
