Stayed at the Maryland for one night this week with my 11 year old son. What a super place and what lovely hosts! We were welcomed with a drink on arrival and felt immediately at home, ushered into a comfortable lounge and not hurried up to our room and forgotten.
Our bedroom on the second floor was large, light, comfortable, nicely furnished and clean . There were lots of little touches which made it special, from the well stocked tea and coffee tray to the hairdryer and dressing gowns .
The rooms are not ensuite but do have a washbasin, and we had a large, spotless bathroom all to ourselves, again with personal touches like bubble bath!
Breakfast was excellent and plentiful with lots of choice, all freshly cooked and beautifully served, with linen napkins and fresh flowers on the tables.
We were given our own front door key and could come and go as we pleased. The location is excellent, ten minutes walk from the sea.
