Pam Bury & John Booth Holmfirth It is going into our 3rd year now at the The Tamarind for my partner and I. We fell on this guest house purely by accident. We were looking for somewhere to stay on a room only basis (not many B&B's do this these days - but the Tamarind do). We enjoyed our stay... more

This was our second stay at Tamerind and it was as good as we remembered. Comfortable bed, a breakfast to kill for and good company. When we visit our relatives in East Yorkshire we always call in to see Anne-Marie and Gerry on passing and the kettle is allways on the boil for us. Nothing is ever too much trouble... more

I stayed at this guesthouse and wouldn't recommend I didn't find it acceptable as the beds were uncomfortable as they were too old to be supportive and springs were poking through. It was clean enough for me either. more

i am sorry this guest chose to write an unfair comment here and not approach us directly..we havent had anyone in from manchester in 2 years so this may be out of date reviews...none of the beds are broken ,all have new matrresses within the last 2 years and it certainly isnt dirty as all these previous reviewers have said...enough...

We have visited Tamarind twice and they are the nicest people. When we arrived we were greeted with tea or coffee and biscuits ( and not cheap rubbish). If Anne Marie did say people were lazy to them she will only have been kidding she is not nasty natured. Each time we have visited we have had clean sheets on... more

More recently I re-discovered my love for the town as an adult. I found it to be just as warm, friendly, and welcoming as I... more
