Like the previous reviewer, had I read the reviews before book I might not have booked, however I have to agree with them that the Brockton is getting a bad deal, of course I am a Yorkshire man too so Alan's sense of humour is not a problem, and adds some character, that is often lacking these days. We booked... More

We stayed at the Brockton for two nights as we had booked a 1960s show at the Spa. It is in a convenient position being only a short walk from both town and the Spa itself. This is a family run hotel which offers bed and breakfast and for a supplement evening meals. The rooms are comfortable with en-suite showers,bedding... More

Just had a weekend at this B n B room was nice and clean food was delicious the only thing I didn't like was the waiter on the Saturday night looked as though he'd just finished stripping an engine down his finger nails were that dirty.

Stayed in lots of b & b's but this one beat all for over priced & no value for money. Very bad, think the owners need to stay a night in the room we were given, they would have asked to leave. No notice that Saturday work started before 9.00 am. £70 per night. Window would not open then when... More

As mentioned by a previous reviewer, this guy has no idea how to deal with people in an 'appropriate' way. O.K, so it isn't a hotel, but you do expect some degree of courtesy and professionalism. On arriving, the idiot left four of us standing on the doorstep for several minutes holding our luggage, suit carriers etc, dryly telling us... More

We had a one night stay bed and breakfast. The Brockton hotel is a great place, with a nice room, good food, and the proprietors Alan and Marian were the best, especially Alan with his quirky and dry sense of humour. I would surely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a cosy place with a welcoming feel to it

Only if you like to be insulted by that fantastic Yorkshire wit come here. The male proprietor is as obnoxious as the TV legend but not as funny as HE thinks he is. He has no people skills. His language is foul and offensive, whist making discourteous remakes about how inept his customers are. He wife seems nice. Breakfast was... More

We were sent to the Brockton by Tourist Information when we arrived in Bridlington and found our original hotel had closed down! The Brockton is rated AA **** but it was not what we expected and I can't understand how it got this rating. There was only one other couple staying there. We paid £70 for one night's B&B. Our...
