Was in Crowthorne for a conference. Booked the Waterloo Hotel on recommendation. Booking and check in were very quick and straightforward. The room was small but the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was OK - everything worked properly but the decor is very tired and faded. The hotel was very hot, no air conditioning or other facilities you would expect... More

Not bad, but a little dated and bar prices for a evening drinks are way too high, hence nobody in the bar! Breakfast too expensive too - just pop to the local cafe and save some money. WiFi was poor in my room too, not ideal for a business trip.

Single business traveller stayed here for one night - The corridors need a lick of paint and the hotel seems tired although effort to improve the hotel and its gardens has improved since my last visit. The waitress who serves breakfast is a star her customer service skills are fantastic and very genuine - she serves a delicious breakfast. Would... More

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in mid September. Our first room was dirty with a lumpy bed and no electricity! I requested a move and when we got to the outside of the room the carpet looked as though bleach had been poured over it. The room itself was slightly better. The whole hotel was grubby and... More

Stayed at the Waterloo for one night as part of a business trip. It wasn't my first choice, but I'd left it late & couldn't find anywhere else. I was disturbed then to read some of the reviews on here & wondered what I'd let myself in for. Firstly, there was no problem whatsoever in finding the place. Satnav took... More

Thought would be a nice idea to book a hotel the night before going to legoland. However we wish we had never booked this hotel. The third party the booking was made through hadn't sent the details over but the receptionist, who had only been there 2 weeks, did her best to resolve this issue. We went to our room... More

Spent a few days based at the hotel and it was a great place to stay, nice rooms, very clean and good facilities including the free Wifi service which (although needs renewing every 24 hours) is very good. Great car park with ample parking and your car can be seen from most rooms. Very helpful staff and hotel although on... More

Travelled with CAB to the Battle of the proms. The hotel was advertised as a 4* when in fact it was 3*. Rooms were clean on the surface however, a thick layer of dust was on the bed head and when attempting to store some bags on top of the wardrobe, was discouraged by a cloud of dust. I brought... I booked this hotel through an independent website where it was listed as a grade II renovated building with each room enjoying a garden view. The 'renovated' part turns out to be a travel lodge style massive extension that holds most of the rooms and the garden view is actually the car park (or if you're lucky, the beer garden... More

We have just had a brilliant weekend trip with CAB coach holidays to Battle of the proms at highclere castle. We stayed at the Waterloo Hotel at Crowthorne and it was brilliant. Staff were most helpfull. The food was excellent and well presented with generous portions. We read comments on trip advisor and were concerned as some were very poor.... More
