The venue was stunning, we attended a wedding there and both agreed the function rooms and the setting were beautiful. However we paid £110 for a room which was no better than a premier inn. The room was fairly bland, nothing special. Everything worked in the room and the staff were pleasant enough but it didnt have the wow factor... More

This hotel grounds are stunning for a wedding, the rooms are a bit run down and shabby. They could really do with being up to the standard of the location/ setting as it really let you down. A little tranquil treat though and lived the peacocks!

What beautiful grounds. I attended a wedding here on a Saturday. Lovely service. However the nearby spa hotel cancelled on us after water flooding from the 4 a in 5he night before and we found ourselves inadvertently checked in to the Monkey Island Hotel (all expenses paid by the other spa hotel). So...we went to the reception desk to check... More

We stayed in the Wedgwood suite which was really nice and clean but when we arrived the room wasn't ready, we had a table booked for lunch which we needed to get ready for but ended up sat in reception waiting and waiting and waiting. We had about 5 minutes to get changed when the room was finally ready! The... More

We had an amazing room overlooking the Thames and had a fantastic time watching the swans, boats and even parrots pass by! The staff were exceptional - particularly the receptionist and those in the kitchen (excellent generous cooked breakfasts). Bed was comfy and so was the atmosphere.

Stayed here overnight between lunches in Bray on Thames. An unusual and pleasant hotel, located on the bank of the Thames. Pleasant rooms, reasonably furnished and clean. Bath / shower all working and good. Beds firm with good linen. Friendly service. Highlights being able to sit in the pleasant grounds watching the river go by. A bit of noise from... More

My husband and I stayed only one night but we were thoroughly pleased. The hotel is tucked away on a small island but is within easy walking distance to Bray village centre where we treated ourselves to a 14 course tasting at The Fat Duck. It's also a very short drive to Windsor town centre where we went exploring after... More

Excellent venue for afternoon tea, free parking, lovely drive to reach it, eccentric suspended bridge to cross the river onto the island making the quintessentially British eccentric Island a special destination. The staff I met were friendly attentive but not intrusive, Mark was our attendee and the service was superb. It is great value. The original buildings are architecturally beautiful... More

Stayed here with my girlfriend when visiting Brays restaurant one night. Overall we had a very good time and will definately stay here again. Monkey Island Hotel is on an island in the Thames, about 2 miles away from Bray. It is very secluded as your Hotel is surrounded by water. Rooms are not uber-luxurious, but very good, breakfast is... The lovely lication and grounds with peacocks and ducks wandering freely were wondrous. The facilities however were run down and badly in need of rejuvenation. The rooms just barely provided shelter. with none or few amenities. We tried the restaurant for lunch. The food was atrocious and service spotty at best. Al in all a diassapointing stay.
