Obviously this is one of the older ones, not up to the usual standard. Room was clean but just, well depressing. Even the telly stand was limp. There are actually two Premier Inn's in the Barnsley area, but the one we stayed at was in Maple Road actually on the way in to Tankersley, just off Junction 36 on the M1 going north. Stopped in the hotel Tuesday - Friday with 2 work colleagues as we were working close by. Hotel is pretty much in the middle of nowhere but there is a pub attached for breakfast and evening meals. Walking distance takes you to another pub "The Junction" which does superb cod and chips! Staff at the hotel are probably the friendliest... more
Arrived late in the evening and got a friendly welcome and very quick check in. Easy to find, plenty of free parking and very quiet. Room ( No 27) was spacious, clean and nicely decorated, the bathroom was also very clean and bright. All in all a good place to stay when you are travelling. more
Clean room, comfy bed (with duvet), flat screen TV with over 100 freeview channels. Friendly staff, good quality brekkie. Quiet. more
