We were very impressed with the warmth of our welcome and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed. Cleanliness was of a high standard throughout and both breakfast and evening meals were excellent. We enjoyed our short stay immensely and would recommend the Wycliffe to anyone visiting Manchester and the local area.

We visited the Wycliffe Hotel. Stockport at the beginning of July and were both very impressed with the service given by ALL of the staff who went "that extra mile" to be friendly and helpful. We "ate in" for 3 of the 4 nights of our stay. Meals were of high quality, well presented and of decent portions. A Menu... More

High standards of professionalism from everyone you come into contact with here. The place is kind of old fashioned overall - but in a good way. Immaculately clean and with a lot of care and thought in the place. Room was big and airy with a good bed. Bathroom fine although the shower was a little weedy - not terrible,... More

We did not stay at the hotel but can say that the downstairs was very clean. The food was lovely and the staff very friendly. The only negative thing to say really is that we went outside to get some fresh air as it was a very hot evening to cool down and came back in with fresh drinks from... More

We had a lovely stay at the Wycliffe last weekend, from the second you walk in it is just so friendly and welcoming. We had a few drinks in the lovely bright comfortable bar, welcomed then served by the nicest young lady we've ever had the pleasure to meet working in a hotel. We were eating out so can't comment... After having walked out the Britannia hotel within 5 minutes because of the filth, we walked into this place. It was going from hell to heaven! The staff is So SO So friendly and helpful, they can just not do enough for you. The rooms are plain, simple, but immaculately clean, there is internet, flat screen tv, ironing board and... More

This hotel offers a very high standard of food and good, personal service. The building itself isn't modern (creaky floorboards, slightly odd-shapes to some of the reception rooms and so on) and is reasonably well maintained. I rather have the impression that each of the bedrooms is unique and there are single, doubles, triples and perhaps others. The hotel isn't... More

We stayed at the Wycliffe for 10 nights during the Stockport portion of our UK trip. We had pulled it up on Tripadvisor and then it was recommended by a local family member. We were very happy we made the booking. The service was excellent from the time we arrived to the moment we left. Richard, manning the front desk,... More

I stayed here on a business trip and it was booked for me. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean. Only draw backs were that the hot water in the basin and the shower took a long time to come through and I couldn't see any disabled access (not disabled myself but have an interest and look... More

Dear Guest Thank you for your review, I am glad that everything was good with your room, however, I am sorry that the hot water took a long time to come through - we will certainly look into this.
