This hotel was hot, noisy, dirty, dated, over busy and over priced. I would highly recommend to stay away from this hotel at all costs! Vile! The bar and reception area is very busy all round the clock and when we were there there was lots of large drinking and rowdy groups of people. Lift was broke so we had... More

OMG !!! has to be the dirtiest, smelliest hotel ever. Had to stay one night as I was on a Christmas shopping trip with a coach company. The lift didn't work so we had to carry our case up lots of stairs. We had room 141 and my sister had room 139. Both rooms were filthy with toilets so dirty... More

Stayed for one night. Room had a tv but no aerial reception. One window was sealed at the top but the bottom remained opened by an inch or two, obviously the frame was broke but hotel couldn't be bothered to fix it. Towel rail on bathroom was hanging off the wall. Couldn't have a shower the following morning as there... More

My husband, 4 month old daughter and I travelled from Essex today to Stockport for a seminar we were attending. We booked a double room with cot and breakfast, for 2 nights for £115. Payment was on arrival. Upon arriving, we parked in the car park around the back. Needless to say, i will be up all night tonight worrying... More

Room 126 - disgusting. Would advise you stay elsewhere but if you have to stay at the Britannia Hotel do not accept this room!! The room had an overpowering smell of cheap air freshener which was almost choking on arrival. This eventually faded during the night to reveal a strong smell of damp The carpet was filthy and covered in... More

If I could if gave this hotel a negative rating I would. I've stopped in loads of hotels and this has to be the worst. It's 0030 and the hotel is full of asylum seekers running riots around the hotel, I get up at 0530 for work. You enter the hotel through the main entrance through a crowd of smoking... More

We spent a night at this hotel as part of a coach tour to see Coronation Street The Tour. Having previously read the reviews we were a little apprehensive about staying here. However, 4 of us all agreed that for the money we paid, it was well worth it. The evening meal was OK, breakfast was very good and the... More

The beds are terrible, i only spent one night there and recieved a bed sore to my elbow, the mattress was that hard. The room was filthy, bathroom etc, cobwebs every where.... More
