We stayed at The Shippon for just one night after attending our Nieces wedding at a nearby Hotel. The Hotel where our niece got married did accommodation, but started at £170 room only per night. We originally planned to get a taxi from home there and back. Luckily I looked up B&Bs in the local area and The Shippon came... More

We stayed here July 6th and 7th when visiting relatives in Saddleworth. It is in quiet location overlooking the village of Delph. Alice, the owner, met us on arrival, showed us to our room and made us welcome. Our room, 'The Jersey' was exceptionally clean, and looked like new, The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was spotless, and our... More

Greeted by the landlady 'Alice' who was the perfect host, this converted cow-shed has been done up to a very high standard. We used the 'Ayrshire' room, all rooms are named after breeds of cattle for obvious reasons, very clean with a wet room to accommodate people with disabilities. Breakfast was also to a high standard with quality bacon and... More

I could not fault this place it is decorated beautifully and is spotless the usual tray is in... More

We stayed here in late June 2014 to attend a wedding nearby. This is a really charming place. The entire location and the setting reminds you of the Country Files or Emerdale. I have never been to such places before. All the rooms are very clean and very well looked after. Showers are very clean and hot water is available... More

On the hillside above the lovely village of Delph. Spotlessly clean. High quality linens. Spacious rooms. Very good breakfast. Alice, the owner, does all the work herself. She is a delight, like her property. Quite extraordinarily good value.

Stayed here after attending a local wedding. Beautifully presented, modern, comfortable rooms with stunning views from the breakfast room whilst enjoying a superb breakfast with ample choice of freshly cooked dishes - husband and daughter indulged in the "full English" whilst my scrambled eggs on toast were just what I needed - as well as the usual cereals, juices, yoghurts...
