Visiting friends in Bury, didn't want a chain hotel for one night, picked the Rostrevor, great choice. Nice welcome by proprietor Peter, room adequate with all required, very clean. Breakfast next morning served in attractive breakfast/dining room was brilliant, great quality & included Bury black pudding! If visiting again would definitely stay here again & would recommend.

Room was adequate, bed small but comfortable and clean. Tea & coffee were provided- Bathroom very small but had fresh towels. Breakfast was lovely- hot and freshly cooked to order.... More

We have just left the Rostrevor after staying sat night, and the place is OK for 66quid for a double but 8quid each for a breky not on, and like with the previous persons review found one of the hosts a bit frosty when we paid our bill and left without having a breakfast but he was very friendly

Visited from 26 to 28 September with my grandad and his wife. My grandad and his wife had a room and I had my own room, there were drawers and there was a bathroom. The breakfast was good. The owners were helpful.

We have stayed at the Rostrevor before, so had no hesitation in booking again. The rooms are great, the hosts Peter and Michelle are great, the breakfasts are outstanding! The "full English" especially, Michelle gave us tips on how to cook mushrooms to taste like theirs. And Michelle's homemade jams and marmalades, mmm! They really look after you, and always... More

I arrived by tram and found that the Rostrevor is only around a ten minute walk at most from the Bury interchange. I found a restaurant just a couple of minutes up the road, and bus stops for the town centre and Manchester were just outside the hotel, so it is very convenient for getting around by public transport in... Stayed here twice in the last 6 weeks or so - close to my g/f's parents' place, so ideal when we can't stay with them. The hotel is on one of the main roads into Manchester, so you will possibly hear some noise if you are housed at the front of the building. Our dog Penny was a welcome visitor,... More
