Had a room on the 1st floor, which had a sloped ceiling so watch out for the low ceilings when walking around. This only really affected the "cubby hole" in the corner where the desk was. Just got back from 2 nights at The Abbey Hotel. We stayed using their summer offer which was a family room for 2 nights with breakfast for £129. The family room had double bed, and then 2 fold-up beds for the children. Room was clean, although decoration a little tired and things like the bath seal could do with replacing.... more

Contrary to the poster of 10 August 2009, we had wonderful stay. Dinner was splendid, bed was comfy, shower was fantastic. There were 2 weddings while we were there, we had no problem from either. As to the disturbance caused by golfers arriving, well the clue is in the name 'Golf and Country Club'. The layout is a bit quirky.... more
