We stayed here for the weekend with our dog. The staff made us (and our dog) feel very welcome and everything was excellent - the food, the microbrew beer, the service, the room etc. Homemade jams/preserves, biscuits, fruit liqueur nightcap etc. Farmers market 2nd sunday each month. Lovely riverside location. Nice walks. Definitely recommended!! More

Lovely welcome after a long walk- arrived at 3.45pm and between us we ordered a selection of bar snacks from a wonderful terrine with salad to soup to spaghetti. Food arrived promptly and we tasted great! We were out by 4.30pm to catch a train so perfect. More

The Talbot is a lovely old hotel in a great position under Ankerdine Hill and next to the Teme at Knightwick. It is ideally situated for some glorious countryside in Worcestershire and Herefordshire and is on the route of the North Worcestershire footpath with Worcester, Malvern, and Bromyard close at hand . I cannot comment on the Hotel side of... More

Everything about the knightwick exceeded our expectations. The staff were wonderful, we were made so welcome both by staff and regulars. The food, especially the breakfasts, were the best ever, and the little touches, like the damson gin in the bedroom for a nightcap, and the home made biscuits for with our coffee were the icing on the cake. We... More

My partner and I booked to have Sunday lunch at the talbot. What a disappointment, the food was unbelievably over priced and it was not that great. We did complain but if I am honest the waitress could not care, all they were interested in was getting on so to speak it was not as if they were busy. The... More

We stayed here overnight as part of a walking holiday. We loved the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff and our room was perfectly acceptable given the age of the building. Our only real issue is that a misleading menu and genrally high prices meant we paid nearly £100 for a meal and drinks in the evening- something I never... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. At lunchtime we had a Ploughmans lunch in the bar and it was excellent. The bar itself was good it had ales on from its own brewery which we enjoyed. We also ate here in the evening, again the food was good but expensive. Our room was lovely it was very clean although it... More

Having read some of the previous reviews, we wondered if we had done the right thing in booking for two nights DB&B. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The food was good, imaginative and plentiful - the crab cocktails in particular were more than generous. Lovely homemade breads, jams, cookies. It is a fourteenth century inn and, yes, the floors... Lovely pub and good beer - meal was poor - had gala pie - it was mainly jelly with very little else. How could they serve that without noticing! More

Good twin room with clean, bright bathroom. Two windows giving views of river through one and 4 small pigs running around through the other. When I booked I was told that this was the nicest twin room and warned that the one over the bar could be noisy. Staff were friendly and food was fine. Dining room a bit bleak-slightly... More
