Stayed here overnight for our works Christmas do, rather than have to drive 30 miles back home. Had a lovely large double room, with what was probably a king-sized bed (bit of an extravagence for single occupancy). Bathroom was a bit tatty, but otherwise the room was excellent. more

This hotel seems stuck in the 80's. Internal doors have been removed to create larger Rooms, but no soundproofing must have been available in the 1980's as you could hear every door in the hotel slamming shut. I do expect a certain level of noise, but the walls did not seem to dampen any noise at all. Babies crying, people... more

We booked for a quiet relaxing weekend away. We were more interested in the hotel and leisure facilities than the surrounding area, but this part of the country has some outstanding scenery. Have just spent two night in this hotel. From initial dealings the staff were so efficient and pleasant. Our room was enormous with a four poster bed and they very kindly made up beds in the adjoining lounge for our children. Breakfast was good and again the staff were most attentive and friendly.
