Six of us - 3 couples - met yesterday (29/8/15) at The George for breakfast. It was a busy Bank Holiday weekend yet the service was good. I shouldn't really have had the large Full English Breakfast but all the men did and it was first class. The girls had Eggs Royale with smoked salmon and Hollandaise Sauce which some... More

I travel to the Midlands every 8 weeks for a week of calls. I tried The George primarily for it's position on my calls' map. I'd read mixed reviews, but I like the convenience of on site food and Wetherspoons do offer value for money traditionally. I stayed in 203, top floor street facing. Road noise was no problem for... Stayed here overnight after having been at West Midlands Safari Park, only 10 minutes drive away. The room was clean and tidy, hotel reception staff very helpful and food was good value for money. Would stay there again.

travelled up to bewdley from south wales and stayed at the George Hotel. i requested a nice room with a view on my booking form as it was for a special occasion and they did not disappoint. We had a charming attic room with character beams and a view into town. The only one complaint i would have is the... More

You can't knock the placing of the hotel - right in the middle of town...but that brings some issues. Plus points first...price good, rooms not a bad size - we had 106, parking free on the back car-park (europarks) with a voucher from reception, over the top of a Wetherspoons so good choice of food and drinks. Negative...bathroom small, stairs... More

We stayed 5 nights in room 301 which was ok. there would have been more room if the television was smaller. The wardrobe could then be against the wall and not at an angle. The shelves either side of the bed are on a slope, you find this out when you first use them and find that you have to... More

breakfast - would be nice to have pastries/croissants as an option very hot night so needed to keep windows open (only a couple of inches due to window locks) as room overlooked high street and the pub didn't shut until 1am, it was very noisy and was therefore difficult to sleep,

Spent a very pleasant weekend in Bewdley. The George is conveniently situated in the town centre and residents can park overnight free of charge using a permit issued by the hotel. The breakfast was up to the usual high standard , however, one of the evening meals was not a salmon fillet that was completely overcooked. The staff were friendly, helpful... More

This Wetherspoons Hotel and Pub is a lovely, historic place. They have done a great job in restoring this place whilst retaining its features. The young lady on the Hotel Reception was absoloutely fantastic - I didnt catch her name but she was on duty on the afternoon and evening on the 21st August and the morning of the 22nd... More

The Hotel has car parking to the rear but it is important to obtain a windscreen permit from Reception. The building is ancient & full of character (as is the rest of Bewdley). It has been remodelled to provide 20 rooms on three floors. The architect was clearly good at jig saws judging by the oddly shaped rooms. The main... More
