We have just returned from a 3 night stay which was booked as a suprise, romantic birthday treat for my wife. Lets start off then........ the room given was a family room, very bright and airy. The linen immaculate and crispy clean. The bed very comfortable. The flowers organised for my wife very nice and in the room upon arrival... more

My husband and I stayed there for one night in July. We had been travelling in the car for quite some time that day and were looking forward to a shower after checking inn. Unfortunately, the hot water did not work. I asked the manager to check this. He looked sceptically at me and replied: “To be honest, that has... more

We wanted a weekend away and booked this by chance but we were not disappointed the staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. Room was small but what do you expect in an inn and an old building. We had a great couple of days and will revisit, more

Once you've parked up in the vast gravel car park, you duck in the door to The Pear Tree's dark-beamed bar area. We were staying the night, so first, we headed off to investigate our room (number 7, in the newer part at the back). On the plus side, super-clean, fresh (window open), B&O TV and radio, Frette bedlinen, tea... more

If you like to be charged over the odds for small portions of mediocre to average food, masquerading as 'nouvelle cuisine', described and presented in a pretentious manner, and served by indifferent staff, then this is the place for you! Admittedly, the pub itself and it's gardens are very attractive. Can't speak for the accommodation as we only went for... more

My mother and I stayed two nights in the Pear Tree, and it was a delight to come back from a day of touring to the fluffy down duvet and bathroom with towel warmer. We had one of the two rooms with a private parking area, which was a real plus for two women with joint problems and a tendency... more

My husband booked this hotel for our trip to Badminton Horse Trials as a birthday treat. The hotel is just chocolate box picture perfect. The room was just beautifull with a fantastic wet room, state of the art sound system and TV. The food was exceptional as was the friendly service. The staff couldn't do enough for us. I would... more

We really enjoyed our time at The Pear Tree Inn. It didn't start too well with only a dribble of water from the hand basin in the bathroom and loud music from our neighbours. Ed (the manager) moved the noisy people and promised to rectify the sink. He couldn't do it that day so he reduced our room fee by... more

We arrived at The Pear Tree Inn rather late for just one night. Both my husband and myself couldn't fault our dinner and the restaurant had great lighting and an atmosphere to match. Our room (no. 7) was small but we couldn't fault it for cleanliness and pleasing decor. Our visit to the area was to see the locks at... more
