Great drinking pub and the landlord has a very good sense off humor, and likes the odd drink off wine, thats when the lovely humor comes out., we only had a Sunday lunch did not stay there , but a great log fire awaits you when you walk in. B & R Jones more

What a find. With every other so called gastro pub being at best a disappointment, The Angel was like finding utopia. There was a real welcome and surroundings in the restuarant very comfortable. Had a splendid lunch and will go again soon. There are some splendid paintings around the walls! Beer was very good too! more

Thank goodness for this oasis of sanity.There are too many very overpriced places in this area trying to be "chi-chi London in the country."
