We booked 4 rooms for two nights and had two dinners and breakfasts at The Lamb. Rooms are very comfortable and well equipped and clean. All meals were very good with a decent menu choice and wine list, plus Young's beers on tap. Staff helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend for a relaxed stay with some great walks nearby, although... More

Quite the most disgusting meal we've had in a very long time. It took ages to arrive (the place was virtually empty) and the food was awful. The last time we were there was about two years ago and it was terrific, but now it seems that it has fallen into the hands of Enterprise Inns and the decline in... More

A large group of us stayed at The Angel and also at The Lamb for a friend's 50th. The Angel was generally deemed to be spartan with little welcome, The Lamb the complete opposite. It did not help that the heating and hot water had failed throughout the building, so it was cold in all rooms and none of us... More

Debbie, the young woman in charge when we checked in was a lovely help, Pleasant, welcoming, and capable of giving good directions. She needs to find a better place to work. The room was not clean, cobwebs over the bed and dirt/dust/grime everywhere. The bed was so bad we had to sleep on top of the duvet to keep the... More

The room was filthy, the carpet unclean, the chair was thick with dust, the bed THE MOST uncomfortable I've ever stayed in. The bathroom was a health hazard. I complained to the manager who promptly said 'it wasn't his responsibility'- always good to know that the manager is proud of his establishment. Utter waste of money do not stay here,... More

Driving leisurely around the beautiful Wiltshire countryside my wife and I came to Hindon which has two neighbouring pubs. We chose the Angel on a whim to have lunch and we were not disappointed. The pub was a little run down to look at but the girl behind the bar was very welcoming and we were soon sitting down to... More

We stayed here for two nights, using the Inn as a base for walking the coast path 44 miles away. Our first room was fabulous, and good value at £80 a night (inc breakfast) for two people. The mushrooms and scrambled eggs were fabulous, and evening meal was a far better than typical pub fayre. The publican was a hard... More

I stayed only one night but everything was as expected, room was good, food was good, no problems at all. A characterful building, sympathetically modernised to give a great open plan bar that somehow retains ambience, well done.

A lovely little inn tucked away in the countryside . Very good value for £75.00 a night we had the teal room very clean and tidy. Attention to detail a little lacking I.e light above mirror in bathroom didn't work and also extractor fan not working. That aside we had a very enjoyable weekend and we would definitely return and... More

Haven't been here for a while but on the way to the West Country thought it was worth a stop over. Was not disappointed immediately recognised by the landlord and once again welcomed like an old friend. We had steaks that were superb in quality and cooked to perfection and drank an unexpected but very interesting Moroccan rose, all in... More
