I stayed only one night but everything was as expected, room was good, food was good, no problems at all. A characterful building, sympathetically modernised to give a great open plan bar that somehow retains ambience, well done.

A lovely little inn tucked away in the countryside . Very good value for £75.00 a night we had the teal room very clean and tidy. Attention to detail a little lacking I.e light above mirror in bathroom didn't work and also extractor fan not working. That aside we had a very enjoyable weekend and we would definitely return and... More

Haven't been here for a while but on the way to the West Country thought it was worth a stop over. Was not disappointed immediately recognised by the landlord and once again welcomed like an old friend. We had steaks that were superb in quality and cooked to perfection and drank an unexpected but very interesting Moroccan rose, all in... More

Lovely pub in a classic village with warm welcome and blazing log fire. Room great value with a four poster bed. Excellent food including a delicious scallop and chorizo starter. Staff relaxed and very friendly, particularly the landlord

Visited with my husband and sister. Have eaten here before and enjoyed it again this time. Staff friendly and welcoming and there was a roaring fire warming on a frosty night. We had the portabella mushroom with goats cheese and pan fried turbot which were delicious. Mains were the ox cheek bourginon and duck. Both very good. Too full for... More

Very pleasant staff with good food and very spacious, comfortable room "Pheasant" but let down hugely by wafer thin walls, not only could you hear the next rooms TV (word for word) but their snoring as well, worst nights sleep in any hotel for years. Such a shame because otherwise I'd have given 4 stars.

Such a nice, cosy and quaint little place. Staff are great, food is what proper pub food should be and they keep the beer very nicely. Feels like your local even if its not. Would recommend to people that want a taste of a real English village pub. No music blaring, just friendly and comfy. Rooms are nice and cosy... More

I'd like to start with the positive points, the staff were extremely helpful and couldn't have done more to accommodate us especially with a late check in & keeping the bar open late both of which were very helpful. We ate dinner here on one of the evenings and the food was high quality across all dishes, and with good... More

Stayed for 1 night as longleat is only a short drive. Food and drinks were excellent but kept awake most of the night due to noise from the room above. Every footstep sounded like an elephant and this went from 11am - 8am. Making the nights sleep very unpleasant.

Went to this pub for a meal and couldn't rate it enough. A very attractive pub situated in the quiet village of Hindon, which is conveniently situated just off the A303. Fantastic food, attentive service and friendly staff. Wish this was my local.
