A more relaxing beautiful place I could not have asked for. Staff were excellent throughout nothing was too much trouble and every detail provided for before you could even ask for it. Room (18) was lovely especially the bathroom. Ate at Brasserie and thought the food was excellent and decent value for the quality. The general ambiance and peacefulness of... more

This was my second visit to Whatley Manor..... The first visit was excellent a couple of years ago. This visit was truly wonderful. The restaurant has been refurbished and is an excellent improvement, service impecable, food glorious. The Spa is one of the best i have enjoyed with a great choice of Saunas, Treatments and bubbling water... We booked a... more

I've just come back from a 2 night weekend break at Whatley Manor. The Manor is fantastic, the grounds immaculate. The decor inside is beautiful, the spa is first class. Dining in Le Mazot was out of this world. Both myself & my partner have dined in many of London's best restaurants - but this was out of this world!... more

Spent two days at the manor. The location, gardens and buildings are amazing. In particular the gardens. Fantastic place for a retreat, on the bench watching the country side. Perfect ! The restaurant is up to the 2 michelin stars. Great flavors and presentation. Good staff (could be better though given the level of the cuisine). Wine list is too... more

My parents bought us two nights at Whatley Manor for my birthday and we arrived at the hotel anticipating a relaxing and luxurious three days. The welcome is faultless. On arrival you drive up to gates that open automatically into a beautifully manicured courtyard where the staff are ready to greet you, whisking your bags and car away. Rather than... more

To start, I would like to point out that this review is coming about seven months after I visited this hotel/restaurant, BUT this has certainly now dazed my memories on just how spectacular our experience was! I took my mother for lunch on a summer Sunday afternoon in 2008, and have been meaning to go back since (only problem being... more

We spent 2 wonderful and relaxing nights here for my 40th birthday. The hotel kindly upgraded us to a suite which was lovely. The spa is superb, the lounges are cosy, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the grounds beautiful. Would highly recommend and would like to go back in the summer one day to appreciate the gardens. We... more

We were given a voucher for a night in Whatley for one of the Sunday night cinema screenings and were very excited having heard so much about it from friends. The setting is really quite something, made all the nicer by the early spring weather. It was nice to drive to the door, hand over the car and be led... more

I stayed here for 2 nights late last year as part of a small wedding party - the bride and groom chose this location as they loved the hotel and described it as somewhere you could just 'melt' and they were not wrong! It is an isolated and potentially difficult to find location (for once, thank god for sat nav)... more

After staying here I am surprised to find that some people are able to be negative about this hotel and feel compelled to write in defence. The hotel is luxuriously decorated, sympathetic to its age, with modern touches and stylish furnishings. To illustrate this there were large open stone fireplaces and walls with original wood panelling. Although there was no... more
