My sons wedding was held at this venue. It is delightful hotel, just like staying in someone's country home. No formal reception area which was a wonderful change. Bedrooms lovely. No tea or coffee but each floor has a Nepresso coffee machine little fridge for milk, tea sugar and mugs. Food delicious. The Potting Shed I pub across the road... More

We have just come back from the most memorable weekend imaginable at a The Rectory. There was a large group of us staying here for a family wedding and it surpassed all our expectations. The place is magical and the customer service........ well where do we start! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, every single member... More

This is a fantastic hotel for a romantic get-away in the Cotswolds or to take the kids for a little holiday. So comfortable! A great, young, friendly staff. We stayed for three nights in Sudeley (spelling?)-- a large room with a four-poster bed. I loved our time at this hotel and my wife did too (although she wasn't as big... More

What I have to say agrees with recent reviews; Pros: The Rectory Hotel is a beautiful hotel. The parking is great. The hotel has very welcoming and friendly staff. The hotel have two lovely lounges with open fires. Our bedroom was a good size with plush bed linen. Food is a big positive. We had dinner and full breakfast in... More

Dear Sarawill, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am so pleased that you enjoyed so much about the hotel, the food, roaring fires, and ambiance are of course all very important to us. We are very sorry that there was a mistake with regards to the port on your bill, however, I am pleased that... More

When we booked, we were told it was dog friendly, however the rules were not clear. This led to an embarrassing incident at breakfast when we were told to exit out dog from the room. Yes, we could have asked, but no one explained that the dining room was off limits for our dog. In other hotels that are dog... More

My wife and I stayed one Saturday night in mid-February 2014. Previous reviewers have described it as "shabby chic" and we would agree, mainly due to worn stair carpet and a couple of chairs in the main lounge although it is a spotlessly clean establishment and sited in very pleasing and tidy grounds. All staff were particularly attentive and a... More

21 adults plus children and dogs spent a brilliant 2 days at the Rectory. Charlie and the team really went out of their way to make our stay perfect in all respects and showed flexibility and admirable patience to accommodate our requests. Errant canine behavior and some exuberant NYE revelry were all dealt with patiently and with a smile. The... More

Venue used for our wedding with great success. All arrangements, food, service, staff and accommodation were 1st class. All our guests agreed! The management are flexible and show a willingness to make sure every aspect is well delivered. Due to the nature of the property it honest felt like we had hired a private house rather than a hotel which... More

I recently stayed at The Rectory Hotel, but having seen the glowing review in Stylist magazine I would like to point the other side of the story. The whole grounds and hotel are really lovely, peaceful and tranquil and it is the perfect weekend escape from London. Rooms are spacious, bright and airy, but that is only half of it.... More

Shabby chic is the best way to describe this hotel which l liked; it suited the building. However, I wasn't impressed with the dirty marks on the bedroom carpet or the tear on the step going out of our room. Bed was very comfortable, good room overall, except for a television that only had limited programmes. Having the shower over the... More
