We had a fabulous wedding at the Rectory following staying there previously. We had the whole hotel for the event and cannot give enough praise to Jenna and her team in ensuring the wedding ran without a hitch and was exactly as we wanted -relaxed and sophisticated. The hotel itself is gorgeous - just what you want in a hotel... more

Cosy hotel with funky decor and very friendly service. The food was generally very good and the cooked breakfast was excellent. Only downside was that our room (Nibley) was a bit pokey, but it didn't matter too much as we made good use of the other areas in the hotel. The Potting Shed pub just across the road also provided... more

Visited the Rectory with the wife and young baby for a short midweek break and really enjoyed ourselves....the staff couldn't do enough for us!! The hotel looks impressive from the outside and even more impressive on the inside. The food in the restaurant was wonderfully presented and the service was impeccable. They have a wide selection of DVD's if you... more

The hotel has a perfect location very close to the beautiful Cotswold town of Cirencester, which is great place for shopping and lunch. It is very is to find and well signposted from the road. It is impossible not to give in to the relaxed atmosphere once you enter. There is nothing to make you feel anything other than truly... more

Lovely hotel but quite impersonal. The service was professional but almost done by rote. Our room faced over the front of the building and was a bit noisy due to a busy road which spoilt things a little. I enjoyed our stay but our room at £175 was not good value for money. The bathroom in particular looks a bit tired... more

...but too many annoying (and some dangerous) elements that could be put right with a little forethought and investment. The hotel did not confirm the booking but we had the audacity to arrive about 30 minutes before check in so i think we missed out on the warm welcome. Unfortunately - we had to change rooms becasue of a fault,... more

Comfortable old country house hotel run by a friendly young team of staff. The feeling is that you are visiting a home rather than a hotel, with wellies in the porch, cricket stuff in the hall and books in the bedrooms. Spacious room and bathroom, plenty of hot water for the deep old fashioned bath. None of the furniture matched... more

Fantastic find - will definitely be back - great balance of personal feel and great service. Small intimate hotel (think 12 bedrooms) - stayed in 'Crickley Room' on the top floor - and was real treat. Massive bed and great views. Great sash windows. Pool was little too cool for a dip for us - but hey - we are... more

I stayed at The Rectory for one night with my husband. We wanted a quiet weekend away together and this hotel hit the spot perfectly. We received a very warm welcome on arrival and the service continued to be excellent for the rest of our stay: friendly and efficient without being overbearing. The hotel is very well furnished and decorated:... more
