Lovely hotel but quite impersonal.The service was professional but almost done by rote. Our room faced over the front of the building and was a bit noisy due to a busy road which spoilt things a little. I enjoyed our stay but our room at £175 was not good value for money. Comfortable old country house hotel run by a friendly young team of staff. The feeling is that you are visiting a home rather than a hotel, with wellies in the porch, cricket stuff in the hall and books in the bedrooms.
