We were looking forward to our Cotswolds jaunt & this hotel looked lovely on the website and was indeed recommended by Mr & Mr Smith who had never let us down. If only we'd read the Tripadvisor reviews before booking.... The bathroom had plaster crumbling off the wall & there was mould on the tiles. Staff so badly trained &... More

We stayed two nights in the Leckhampton room. It is very spacious, quiet and warm. Three windows provide plenty of light, although it could do with better electric lighting. It has a spacious bathroom with both a bath and a separate shower. Pity about the tiny TV. The decor of the public areas is quite quirky. As a result of... More

A midweek overnight stay was all I wanted and that was exactly what I received. A pleasant hotel, with helpful staff, not expensive, well equipped bedrooms, with everything you need, including unlimited tea and coffee available on the landings. Good breakfast available and an honesty bar for evening drinks. The hotel could do with a makeover though, painting, wall paper,... More

We stayed there for a wedding on Saturday evening. The setting and decor is great if you like that sort of thing. The room has everything needed, but unfortunately falls very short. The cleanliness of the room was not great, not talking bedding or towels, but more like dead flies, cobwebs that have been there a while as had quite... More

arrived at the hotel to be told that the shower was dripping loudly and the previous guests had complained. we managed late at night to hang a bath towel from the shower head to reduce the noise. The toilet seat was loose. there was no soap. the sink plug was detached from its chain. The tv remote did not work.... More

What can i say! My cousin and i visited for three days. The staff are fantastic, the includes the ladies who clean our rooms. We were so lucky we got attic rooms, watching sunsets and full moon wow. You really must use the pool its warmth is more like a hydrotherapy pool. With the sun on it early evening so... More

I was working here as a guest entertainer for a 70th birthday celebration. We have specific requirements for our event and the hotel responded quickly, efficiently and nothing was a problem (unlike The Old Parsonage in Oxford, a place to avoid). We arrived to a find a lovely little relaxed hotel with a touch of luxury and a feeling of... More

This place is a total curate's egg - good in parts... in fact great in parts and really poor in others. Let me sum things up:- If you are thinking of coming to a luxury country house hotel where you can put your feet up and be waited on hand and foot for a few days, then this is not... More
