Very comfortable stay for 3-nights in this unique village. Welcoming staff, good choices from the dinner menu, nice breakfast and functional, clean rooms. Easy parking in the Manor House car park, 5 minutes walk from the Inn. The great thing about staying at the Castle Inn is that you get to experience the village when there are no other tourists... We stayed 2 nights in May and had a great stay. It was during the Castle Combe Vintage Steam & Tractor rally weekend. We arrived late on a Sat afternoon, parked the car, settled in our cosy room and went down to have a look at the area and a beer at the front of the hotel in the village... More

My wife and I drove up to castle Combe from our visit in Bath and we're delighted with the beautiful setting of the lovely quaint English village of Castle Combe and I enjoyed a great pint of Castle Combe Real Ale and we had a superlunch from an interesting menu served by great staff, in a great setting.

We spent 5 nights at The Castle Inn. Left on Friday morning. Loved it! Beautiful room, all comforts provided whilst still keeping the charm that we were staying in an historic building....if only the walls could talk!! The staff and we mean All and Each and every single member of staff were amazing, welcoming, friendly, warm and also professional. Wonderful... More

We visited here at lunchtime and had some very tasty baguettes. We had the prawns and the cheese choices and both were plentiful and accompanied by some salad and crisps. These were complimented by fine local ales and coffee. The staff very very friendly and helpful. There are a number of photographs upstairs, on the way to the bathroom, taken... More

We were there on the hottest July day England has on record. No A/C forced us to keep our windows open and we were awoken repeatedly by people walking by on the street below. On any other day we could've shut the windows and all would have been well. Everything else was great. My only suggestion is to supply fans... More

Lovely little pub, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Food was delicious, the selection of local breads and flavoured oils were very nice. Could have eaten one to myself! Mains were decent, not the best we've had, but decent. I had the slow roasted pork loin and my husband the beef burger. He was asked how he wanted it cooked, to... More

This is a very period inn in a wonderful village where it seems time has stood still. We had a lovely room with a four poster bed as it was a special anniversary treat. We had every amenity we needed in the room even an iron and ironing board. The bathroom had every modern convenience while keeping it's olde worldly... More

The picture perfect English Village of Castle Combe can be overrun in the daytime by throngs of camera wielding tourists - which is not surprising really. But if you want to experience it at its best you need to stay the night. In evening and early morning, before the coaches arrive, you can stroll the village like a local and... More

We stayed here for one night when we visited Castle Combe. The hotel is conveniently at the centre of the village square. We took one of the smaller rooms which was on the top floor/attic. It was sufficiently spacious and quite comfortable. Dinner was fine. Service was reasonably good. The manager, Hakan, is friendly and welcoming. We could use the... More
