We stayed one night here, and as it was my partner's 40th birthday we were upgraded to a four-poster bed complete with chocolates and wine, and that was just the start of the great service we received from beginning to end. Staff were friendly, helpful and attentive, and the room had a fantastic view past the village cross down the... more

My fiance and I stayed for 3 nights in room 7 (four poster) at the Castle Inn. We were there for a wedding at the Chruch next door...Everything about our stay was pleasurable, Gemma at the front desk was as nice a person as possible, the breakfast was fantastic, and room was big and cozy. The village of Castle Combe... more

We stayed here for a weekend, which wasn't cheap, but was well worth the money. The staff were very welcoming, the food was good (although there was only one choice of main course for vegetarians), the room was lovely and the setting was perfect. Granted we had nice, sunny, weather, but the area was lovely in the Spring. We went... more

My boyfriend and I stayed for a one night romantic get-away and we were extremely happy with the room with it's enormous bed and spacious bathroom (deep corner bath, this sold it for me on arrival). The restaurant was lovely, roaring fire, excellent 3 course meal and very friendly staff- we even decided to go to the pub opposite for... more

We booked the Castle Inn for New Years 2008, and took the majority of our Friends and Family. We all had a fantastic time, rooms were comfortable and clean, customer service was second to none, the food was fabulous and the setting is magical. We will be returning to the Castle Inn in the summer and we would strongly recommend... more

We had a wonderfully romantic stay here. Attention to detail by the owner and manager is a credit to them. The welcome was great and the choice of rooms (luckily it was a quiet weekend so we could choose!!) was lovely.. plumped for Room 3, it had a very romantic feel with a victorian style half tester bed(I think that... more

We booked at almost the last minute, and from that point on the manager and staff made us feel genuinely welcome. The hotel has had a very successful makeover since last time we visited about three years ago, and has a very comfortable feel to it. We were made to feel special immediately on arrival with a very warm greeting.... more

This was supposed to be a special birthday weekend for my fiance and the experience was very mediocre. We stayed for an inclusive break in the 4 poster bedroom and the whole week-end cost us nearly £500. We got a chilly reception as all the food we were served was cold, the staff were completely disinterested and no fires were... more

Hands on management have it spot on here - exemplary staff from which many 5* hotels could learn a lot. Small hotel with small rooms loaded with just the things you want - copious hot water at just the right time, tea and coffee making facilities, dressing gowns, bottled water, free morning papers, iron+board. Luxury touches for the price. Our... more

I stayed at the Castle Inn Hotel on August Bank Holiday and really loved my stay. The hotel was very layback . The room was a good size and bathroom bigger than most hotels. The bathroom also had a jaccuzi which I did try out of course and bath robes!! The staff was very welcoming and answer all my enquiries.... more
