Had been told by friends about this hotel and had been looking forward to it for a while. Expectations where surpassed! Beautiful hotel and village, excellent service from welcome on arrival to bar and restaurant. Had an afternoon tea which was lovely but huge and wondered if we should cancel dinner and just have room service. So pleased we didn't... more

We came for our Wedding Anniversary on June 23rd 2009. It was excellent, the welcome, the food, the service...everything. We just want to tell that we will be back very soon with the children. more

Stayed for one night while on our driving trip through England. Had a room in one of the quaint cottages. While the bedroom was small and nothing special, the bathroom was huge. With a shower room not just a stall. Surprisingly we were not bothered by car noise since the exit road was just outside our front window. The main... more

I recently visited the Manor House Hotel with my family for afternoon tea. The setting was amazing and the food beautiful. However, the service (or lack of) was shocking and additional items we assumed were included in the cost (additional tea) were added to the final bill at a very high cost. The cost of the tea is already higher... more

I rarely ever write reviews but feel more people need to know about this hotel. My girlfriend and I love the Bath area and have stayed in and around the city many times always trying to look for somewhere different each time. I had heard of Castle Combe but had never heard of The Manor House Hotel. I found the... more

We went to this hotel for a wedding and it was absolutely stunning! The grounds and the hotel exterior and interior are the perfect backdrop for your big day! (see photos) The only thing that let the hotel down was our room - it was very very hot with no ventilation. The room itself was very small so once the... more

I booked AND paid for a room here for my partner's 40th birthday (it was part of a larger celebration involving flying lessons at a local airport, meals with friends etc, so location was absolutley key). With less than a week to go, the hotel called to say that they were cancelling my reservation (even though I had paid in... more

We stayed at the Manor House Hotel last Sunday. The room we stayed in this time was called Doolittle, and was the best room we have stayed in so far. (although they have all been lovely) It has its own balcony, another beautiful bathroom with a lovely deep bath, twin italian style shower. The housekeeping was spotless. Our stays at... more

My wife and I stayed in the Hotel a week ago, we really had a fantastic week-end due of the quality of the service and the food. This Hotel is well located if you like to stay away from the Cities, no vehicle traffic, it isn't a kids destination, perfect for who is looking for peace and relaxation. In the... more

We booked the Manor House as a last minute Saturday night break for our anniversary. We managed to negotiate a very good last minute deal and our room was one of the cottages. The room itself was great - especially the bathroom. The bedroom was seperate and lovely but nothing special however the bathroom was amazing! we enjoying having our... more
