We visted here between Christmas and New Year 2011 with an excellent deal of DBB for £240. The booking manager was very attentive, answering all my questions through email promptly. On arrival we were quickly taken to our 'room' away from the main building on the 'street' of cottages. We were impressed to have a reserved parking space, as most... More

Special is the one word which I think aptly describes The Manor House Hotel. We've stayed there 3 times now and it's probably still our all-time favourite hotel. The 1st time, we stayed in a room with a huge 4-poster bed and a lovely roll-top bath with plenty of room for the two of us. Then we stayed in one... More

We stayed in one of the cottages which was delightful. It was cosy, warm and extremely comfortable. The food was so good that words cannot describe it! The staff were very friendly and helpful without being obsequious. We will certainly return to this piece of paradise. More

"memorable" and "unforgettable", two words used by guests who shared a special birthday weekend celebration for my wife. The individuality of the rooms, the attentive service, the little touches (eg: personalised cookies for the grandchildren on arrival), superb celebration dinner (chosen from private dining menu in advance), just some of the reasons for such words. The one failing, mine I... More

Had not stayed at the Manor House for a long time, 13 years, and it was just as lovely as we remembered. Beautiful location in the most pretty village, lovely grounds and views, the Manor House is wonderful at all times of year. We visited in December and the house was so christmassy with the log fires, trees and cosy... More

Have stayed at this hotel a number times with my husband and two children. Although pricey its a good example of you get what you pay off. Eat with some additional family in the bybrook for Sunday lunch which was wonderful. More

Although we stayed here before in the hieght of the summer, we both agreed we enjoyed it even more this time. The "standard" room was just lovely, the TV in the bathroom caused all sorts of excitement and the January weather was a glorious, perfect treat. It was a wonderful opportunity to just relax. We felt completely at home, despite... More

Delightful hotel that provides a first class experience in a "unique room". We stayed in "Junior Suite" which was enormous and very comfortable with delightful views over the grounds. As you'd expect, service is very good. Food in restaurant is excellent, though pricey. It all comes at an expensive price though, so probably most suitable for special occasions. More

We had not been back to this wonderful hotel for twelve years but nothing had really changed - why would you alter perfection? Yes a few of the bedrooms have been "modernised" (in keeping with the elegance and sophistication of the rest of the hotel) but that welcoming atmosphere, professional and helpful staff, excellent food and service in a beautiful... We stayed here for a friends wedding and stayed in a junior suite for two nights. The suite (Brune) was excellent and the staff where outstanding throughout the stay (especially Steve one of the night managers), nothing was too much trouble including arranging cigarettes and anything else to be bought into the hotel. If you want a peaceful, scenic and... More
