We stayed in May 15 for 2 nights. Room 4. Lovely room, well presented very clean and comfortable. The room gave us privacy and there was minimal noise from the road. Didn't hear our nieghbours at all. All the staff were really pleasant and helpful, nothing was too much trouble (whilst we were there several staff were ferrying three guests... More

We stayed here last year and again last weekend on a Sunday night, the rooms really are very nice with a very good bed, lovely coffee making facilities and a clean, modern bathroom. The rooms are away from the main building so very quiet, we had direct neighbours but couldn't hear a thing. The location is perfect for visiting Castle... More

Rooms were very clean and comfortable with good amenities (although a bin would have been useful) and the food was superb. Nice place to stay within easy reach of places by car but nothing else to do here if you just wanted to stroll in the evening etc.

We stayed here for 2 nights over the bank holiday weekend and were delighted with our choice of accommodation. It is just a 5-10 minute drive from the M4 junction so very accessible to anywhere you want to go. Westonbirt Arboretum is just an easy 15-20 minute drive (highly recommend a visit). The owners are an absolute delight, very sociable... More

The family owners of this traditional village pub take pride in their business and this is reflected in their hospitality to guests and wonderful accommodation. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble, they went over and above the call of duty! Our room was beautifully decorated in a modern style, with great wet room, comfortable... More

Room was lovely. Very clean and warm on a cold, windy, rainy day. Great to have the coffee machine for the morning. Food was fantastic and very well priced, also a good selection of wines to choose from. Staff very friendly and accommodating and there was a lovely atmosphere in the bar/restaurant, with a roaring fire on the go. We... More

We stayed on Wednesday 18th March to celebrate our 30th anniversary as we had stayed here on our 25th. Our room, number 5 looked superb. Nice furnishings and a lovely bathroom. Towels, slippers and shower gel. Nice TV and coffee maker. We led on the bed and realised it was quite small. I am only 5'4" but my feet reached... More

Visited The Old House at Home last evenings for a meal. My Steak Pie was adequate, while my partners Ham and Chiips was pretty bad ! The ham was thin wet and slimey and there were just a couple of thin slices ! Not what your would expect considering the price ! The cheese board was pathetic . We will... More

Hi Rita, I remember yourselves sat close to the coffee machine. As far as i am aware, although you had mentioned that you could have done with a little more ham, you enjoyed your meals. Clearly not, and i am sorry to hear that. The cheeseboard is a big hit here with its 5 locally sourced cheeses, organic biscuits plus... More

My husband and I visited the pub this evening and had a fantastic meal and great service. The staff were welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful. The food was superb and very well presented. We have visited before and have never been dissapointed. They always have a lovely selection of specials too.

We booked in here for a family event down the road as the newly refurbished bedroom block looked just the ticket at the right price for this pricey part of the UK. Room and en suite were well presented and beds cosy and comfortable. Breakfast was fine, the choices probably limited as no one else was eating alongside. I would... More
