We had a wonderful stay at the White Hart Inn in Calne this April. The host and hostess couldn't have been friendlier. We arrived about 8 pm Good Friday evening and they opened up the kitchen to make dinner for my family of 5. The food was good, the room clean, and the staff very helpful. I knew this hotel was simply a public house with rooms and one other room i saw was very good, however the room i stayed in had stains on the carpet, a blind which just rested on the window frame and a rusty plug hole. The hands of the landlady were always very dirty looking. They seemed to be ingraned... more

ok this was a great place to stay, fantastic in fact excellent home cooking great relaxed atmosphere . well managed and if ya want a honest all round stay just go to the white hart you will be delighted with all your stay its so nice to see hotels around that you can say that was simply great. more
