My partner and I have stayed at Fairlawn house twice now, and both times have been fantastic. First time was early June 2015, nice sized double room, that probably could have done with a lick of paint, but nothing to complain about, everything was clean. When wanting to book the second time, they were unavailable on Booking.com, so I contacted... More

We booked three nights in this small hotel in Amesbury for a family event. The standard of the main hotels in the village has deteriorated since I used to live in the area some forty years ago and having read what other travellers had written we decided to give it a go. Nothing disappointing, our case were carried to our... More

This place is okay. Really, though. The only reason to stay here is its proximity to Stonehenge. It is a bare-bones place, which would be just fine if it were a bit less expensive. Breakfast is good, though!

Our room was very comfortable, quiet and reasonably spacious considering the house was built in 1838. The cooked breakfast offered was generous and well prepared. Parking is available close by. Perhaps the most enjoyable thing was the way were warmly welcomed like old friends even though this was our first visit. Advice on local places to eat was greatly appreciated.... More

In a good location, close to Stonehenge and in the nice village of Amesbury. The Property was in good order and the room was great. Set off the fire alarm with shower steam by accident and they had the sensor fixed ASAP, so the next day it didn't happen. Breakfast was good and the staff a pleasure to deal with!... More

Pleasant BnB with nice owners & comfortable bedroom with decent bathroom. Good white towels and good shower with plenty of hot water. Friendly owners and private parking at rear of building. Breakfast was exceptional with great service & would highly recommend this reasonably priced bed & breakfast establishment.

My husband and I stayed here overnight on our way to London. They are close to Stonehenge. The room we had was a nice size, with a clean bathroom. Breakfast was really good with an offering of juices, pastries, cereals and a made to order hot breakfast.

This hotel occupies a protected building dating from 1827. It is furnished in a traditional style but manages to be unobtrusively equipped with modern hotel conveniences. My bathroom sink was a little small, but functional; shower pressure and control over water temperature was fine. Free parking, reliable WiFi, and in-room coffee are all provided; after a short treasure hunt, I... More

Throughout our vacation I, as the trip planner, had to figure out how to please six family members, ranging from a spry and sharp 89-year-old grandmother, to four 20-somethings. Fairlawn charmed everybody, beginning with the warm and cheery welcome from the proprietor. We booked four rooms, including the loft, which is a bit of a hike as noted elsewhere so... More
