First of all, I would like to add my sincere thanks to Colin and Linda, who were kind and gracious and helpful beyond what anyone would ever expect. I do hope that word-of-mouth will keep the business thriving as they deserve to have a constant full house. The Fairlawn lived up to its glowing reviews on Tripadvisor. The welcome party... more

There is a lot that we liked about this hotel. The real highlight was the breakfast, which was fantastic, in particular the bacon. The room was large, with plenty of space. Furnishings were not particularly modern (although there was a flat screen TV with Freeview), and the decor could do with an update. The bed was not entirely comfortable, but... more

We travelled down to the summer solstice from the Midlands. The room was comfortable and clean. Great location for Stonehenge, of course, but also Salisbury, Bath and Longleat house. Definatley stay again! more

We spent a night here en route from London to Devon. Great place with lots of charm. Very friendly owners who were knowledgeable about the area and best times to visit Stonehenge & Salisbury. Breakfast was a wonderful traditional full English breakfast, served downstairs in their dining room, which was tastefully decorated in a modern style. We will definitely stay... more

The bedrooms are very comfortable and maintained to a first class standard. There is a bar which was well stocked... more

Stayed here on a Saturday night with 3 teen age children ages 14-19. Great place! Lynda and Colin go out of their way to make you feel at home. Morning breakfast was excellent. The hotel is located in the quaint town of Amesbury. Close to Stonehenge and Salisbury it is a perfect location to explore this part of England. We... more

I could not recommend this hotel more! The couple who own and run it are sweet, friendly, and very helpful. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable, clean, and the entire hotel was very atmospheric. Breakfast was included and personally cooked by the owner Lynda, and consisted of an absolutely fantastic full English breakfast with sausages, bacon, the full shebang.... more
