this was one of the worst Hotels we stayed in while in england. The only nice part was a few pieces of antique furniture around the place. Location to stonehenge(another disapointment) was the only other good piont. Breakfast was heavy and sloppy, staff however were pleasant and rates are reasonable. This hotel with a little cleaning and some repairs could... more

I stayed in this hotel as a lone traveller but as part of a large wedding party although I knew only two people. The reception was held in a marquee in the garden of the hotel. This hotel could be fabulous, the building is old with very high ceilings and period fittings but spoilt by the tired and mis-matched decor.... more

We were pointed in the direction of the Antrobus by our other Amesbury hotel as they had to close unexpectedly. My wife and I have nothing but praise for the Antrobus staff. Having worked in catering some years ago I can honestly say the service received was excellant. At dinner we entered the bar and were immediately invited to look... more

We have just returned from a night in the Beatles suite. Lovely big bed & really comfortable. Unfortunately there was a cracked pane of glass in the only window that could be opened in the bedroom. The sash window in the bathroom was propped open with a toilet roll & the bathroom floor was grubby & had a door lock... more

We stayed at the Antrobus Arms for one night in July in order to visit Stonehenge and Salisbury on our way to Wales, having been referred there by another local hotel which was full. We booked directly with the hotel over the telephone: a double room with an extra bed for a child of seven. On arrival, they claimed no... more

wouldn't go back near any weekend-in fact i would strongly recommend you check when the neighbours are playing "dance" music before you decide to stayor not. stayed on a friday night and either the pub next door had a late license - until 1:30 am, or some other local place was playing until the wee hours. good looking place although... more

This was a stopping point for two nights between Devon and Brighton and so we could take in Stonehenge. The Hotel staff are lovely and the booking process was easy. The hotel is also in a great place to visit Stonehenge and Salisbury. Our room was only £75 per night b and b which it was worth really. The bed... more

Terribly run down and delapidated. The room was musty and stale and in dire need of complete renovation. The food was poor, Unfortunately I had dinner there and was very disappointed. Breakfast was no better. Staff seemed to be untrained and disinterested. more

This proved a very convenient stopping point in Wiltshire on the A303 travelling from London to the West Country. The building was a 17th century coaching inn and the public rooms retain an air of slightly faded elegance. However the facilities including restaurants and bedrooms are excellent. A beautifully kept enclosed garden was a location for one of the Miss... more
