This is a wonderful hotel with a feeling of home. It has been owned by the Harrington's for 30 years and you will often see the owners, Tom and Nora, around the hotel and restaurant. They have great, friendly staff who also make you feel like you're at home. The restaurant is wonderful, everything is so fresh, you can even... more

I had the same starter, which was served without some... more

Our room was a little dated although they were in the midst of a refurb, however it was a good size which was important as we needed to accomodate our... more

The hotel is conveniently situated close to M62 in it own grounds. Booking was handled well All the staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Hotel was very clean. Rooms well adequately appointed. Restaurant was very good, as other T.A. have remarked. I was travelling with 2 Spanish colleagues and they were very impressed with quality of food and selection. Breakfast... more

Set back from the main road by a long drive through shrubbery, this hotel was formerly a very large private house, probably Victorian, constructed in local stone. We booked several weeks before going but forgot to order evening dinner and were not prompted. We were unable to have any as they had outside parties coming in and the restaurant was... more
