Don't be put off by the rather unkempt garden, mossy car park and the old carpet taking up a parking space on the way up the drive. Nor by being escorted through the busy dining room, negotuiating the diners chairs with your suitcases on the way from Reception to your room. Don't be put off by the (if you are... More

Just got home from a marvellous night out. We had dinner, bed& breakfast at Heald's Hall - wonderful. Food was divine: 6 course tasting menu was original, balanced, filling. More than adequate portions, interesting mix of ingredients, gorgeous tastes. The accompanying wines were OK, not the best match I've ever had, but pleasant enough. Breakfast was everything you could expect:... More

Stayed over for one night in a single room. The furniture looks like charity shop rejects, the decor is tatty, hideous and looks like it was coordinated be a blind person who thinks it's still 1971. The furniture does not fit the tiny room. The room is dirty, the beams above the bed are covered in dust and cobwebs and... More

Arrived at this hotel for a friends wedding and it is very efficiently run with friendly and helpful staff. The main areas are clean and tidy and looks like it's had a refurb recently which makes it look oldy Worldy. From the outside it looks like a very quaint old house and has a garden at the front and rear.... More

Had a great one night stay at Healds Hall on business. Staff were fantastic, helpful, welcoming and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable if a little dated, but that is in keeping with the general ambience. The shower was amazing, strong and hot. I didn't get a room with a view, :(. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and... More

Found this after a desperate search for rooms for the Tour de France in July. Relieved to find somewhere but slightly apprehensive as only charging £50 each for 2 single rooms for me and my son when every hotel in Yorkshire seemed to have doubled rates. As I drove through this charmless area of post industrial Yorkshire became even more... More

Both prior to and on the day the staff at Healds Hall were friendly and accommodating to our needs. The food and wine on both the day and evening reception were fantastic as was the breakfast. All our guests really enjoyed the event which ran seamlessly from start to finish. We would like to thank the hotel and all the... More

We had a one night visit last weekend, on arrival there was a wee bit confusion as the reception thought we were part of a wedding party, we weren't , that cleared up we the receptionist showed us to our room, very professional, top floor to the rear, considered that thoughtful as they had a wedding on (did' there a... We attended a Golden Wedding celebration last evening and it was fabulous. A warm welcome, a delicious meal and wine in lovely surroundings. The steaks were perfectly judged, my salmon was just right. Excellent on all counts. Will come again now we have found Healds Hall.

Sent workers to the hotel for just one night. Always get report back to say how nice or not and their were impressed. Got a good rate - half what would have been per room so very pleased and include breakfast. They didn't however eat in the restaurant probably a bit expensive for them. Pub opposite I was told did...
