There are no photos of the standard rooms on the website - this should have been a warning. We got to Ilkley late on the Friday after a long car journey, the night porter was great and friendly and we went up to our room. At £100 a night this was not what we were expecting. Stayed as guest for a wedding in room 139. The room was on the ground floor with a footpath running outside and houses overlooking it so people could see right into the room, the only way to give yourself some privacy was to shut the curtains which made the room very dark and dingy in the middle of the day.... more

Stayed at the Craiglands for two nights found hotel location perfect for touring the Dales. Hotel itself beautiful in decor, staff friendly and accommodating, breakfast good and varied, cleanliness faultless. The restaurant service was value for money (cheaper for an evening meal than the local pub we visited!) and lovely ambience. Having read bad reviews about this hotel we wonder... more

The bridal suite we had on our wedding night was massive, well done out and was great for our first night as a married couple. We got married on 4th July 2009. It was lovely to be able to leave the organisation on the day to the Craiglands team. Nothing was too much for them. The table settings and flowers were perfect. Everything went like clockwork and we didn't have to worry about a thing. Thank you Craiglands. more
