Booked a 1 night deal through Groupon, arrived at reception and was checked by a friendly young girl (sorry i didnt catch her name but she was on the following morning). We didn't have to wait long for dinner, and we were seated by another friendly member of staff (Robert i think). There was a reduced menu i think but... More

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights for bed and breakfast, with evening meal on the first night courtesy of our children who bought us this gift for Christmas.Hotel is typical old style with good views all round of both Illkley and the surrounding moors. The hotel is currently in the process of being renovated but this did not impact on... We have just enjoyed a very pleasant two night stay. Our room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable, and although a bit cold on our arrival, the heating once turned up was adequate. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was ample. There was some painting going on in the communal areas, but this didn't detract from... More

Stayed for one night, service was poor , staff inexperienced , meal very disappointing, the first room was less than satisfactory so we asked to change rooms. The change was obviously not logged as later the manager came to unlock our room while we were changing for dinner,to ask if we had checked in?! Very embarrassing for all concerned !!

Nice old style hotel with views over the moors. Clean tidy and well presented. Staff very helpful and rooms very clean and tidy in an old style. I would definitely visit again. Close to the train station and restaurants , although the food here was excellent and breakfast a treat

Weekend away from the hustle and bustle to celebrate my wife's birthday. Charming old hotel with plenty of history and extensive grounds to walk around. All the staff were attentive, friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. The set menu was limited, but we both enjoyed the meals we had and the restaurant staff were just as attentive... We stayed in room 121 for 2 nights on a buy a gift voucher, a gift from our sons. We had no issues what so ever. The food & service were fab. Maybe it is a wee bit dated but there's a refurbishment ongoing. I would absolutely recommend this hotel. This was a much needed break for my husband &... More
