We stayed here for a couple of nights back in early summer 2013 when we were thinking of moving to this area. The landlady is definitely a no nonsense type, she has her particular way of doing things, and clearly tells you the in house etiquette at the start , so she can come across as rather brusque and not... Had a lovely stay and a superb breakfast, where the landlady was hospitable and gave many breakfast opitions regarding foods and time for sittings. Yes she would like to know by 6.30pm but I didn't find this a problem. It was all ready and waiting at the time we selected. Typically decorated for a b&b in an older house. Nothing... More

We stayed three nights during the Tour de France and found Prospect End really very good. Unfortunately Ann, the owner, was not in when we arrived - we knew this before arrival - but were informed we could wait in the beautiful garden area until she arrived. This did not happen as the weather was atrocious so we stayed in... More

Although I found the accommodation very satisfactory i.e.clean and comfortable (and definitely no black mould!) I do share the views of some of the other reviewers that this establishment was run by a landlady of the "old school". I read the reviews on Tripadvisor before I stayed and I'm glad that I did as I may have a bit shocked... More

Such a lovely place. Really beautiful terrace set obliquely on the hillside above Hebden Bridge. Very pretty garden and charming house owned and run by an equally charming landlady, Ann. We have been four times and can't wait to go back.

Second time here. Came for our wedding anniversary. Ann the owner is a lovely lady. Very helpful. Rooms and breakfast excellent. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend. Close to town centre and surroundings beautiful. Jodie and Phil

Having read the previous reviews we went with little expectations and thank goodness for trip advisor. This is a very traditional establishment with most definitely a "landlady' rather than a "host". We had to stipulate the time of when we would like to have breakfast (given 30 minute slots between 8, 8.30 and 9) and chose 9 am. However, when... More

This is a convenient spot if you are doing the Pennine Way. There's a convenient pub nearby where you can get an evening meal (although you may need to book ahead). The host will give you a perfectly OK shortcut for the Pennine Way heading north. It's a bit of a non-nonsense type place, but that was fine with me.... More

We first visited Prospect End in April 1996 and have been coming back every year since - need we say more!! We are keen walkers (although not to Pennine Way standard!!). We stay five days, enjoy walking the area each day with a packed lunch from Ann and then return to our accommodation for a lovely shower, evening meal in... More

Stayed for a weekend in Feb 2013 when the weather was cold. The room was clean, comfortable and most importantly warm. Our host, after giving us a lovely breakfast, gave us a lift to our pick up point on the Pennine Way. This is nearest Hebdon Bridge B & B to the actual PW route (just one mile to Callis... More
