We rode on horse back from Wilsden near Bradford and stayed overnight. This was our second such trip to the Hare and Hounds so you can tell we already like this place. The pub is great, the landlord and landlady are very friendly and welcoming and all the staff are extremely helpful. The food is great, the beer was perfect... More

When we came up from Somerset I wasn't sure what to expect as I was told it was a little windswept at this location. In short it was perfect for our needs. Wonderful food and beer and really welcoming hosts and locals. Without doubt the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and will definetley be returning. Simon(Geoff's mate)

I stayed here in march, whilst training in hebden bridge, stunning location, very warm welcome and lovely breakfast. I stayed for 2 nights and on the second night I brought the other trainees with me for an evening meal. We all had an amazing meal and were made very welcome by the locals, even the 2 pigs came to greet... More

We had organised a ride over from near Bradford and the landlady had organised for the horses to stay up the road. We arrived absolutely soaking after 3 hours of very torrential rain and were very warmly welcomed although we were dripping wet. Places were found for our wet gear and in fact most stuff was dry ready for use... More

The Hare and Hounds is a lovely pub. Good quality beers and food to match! The beds are very comfortable and the rooms very well equipped and clean. All in all, a lovely place to stay - we were made very welcome. Just a walk away from Hebden Bridge centre too. I'm sure we will be back.

We stayed here recently the drive up was a bit hairy (v steep) mostly in 1st gear!!! It was worth it when we got to the top. The pub has charming character and the owner was very friendly and chatty. The room was very comfortable and had a lovely view overlooking some pigs and chickens and the hills. It was... More

Friendly pub with lovely fresh food which is cooked to a high standard. Comfortable bed with clean bedding. The toiletries provided included toothbrushes, toothpaste and deodorant which is unusual for a small B and B. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Only reservation was the location which we didn't find easily and is a bit hairy to get to if... More

We visit hebden bridge each week and ended up in here one night when we were a bit early for our class. We've been pretty much every week since to have a quick bite to eat. The food has been excellent each time. A classic country pub with a lovely open fire, friendly and welcoming and always a dog or... More

Reason for staying was to visit family and friends, and I didn't want to pay the rip-off prices in Hebden Bridge, where I had stayed on numerous previous occasions! Someone suggested the Hare & Hounds, which took me a bit by surprise as it was one of my locals when I was living in Heptonstall ... and it's only across... More
