Thank you very much Gergana for posting a review about your recent stay at Hotel Casona El Arral. I´m glad you enjoyed your experience in this area of the North of Spain, somekind undiscovered, plenty of possibilities, in a very nice environment, close to the sea and to the mountains. We will be delighted to welcome you back again to... More

We arrived after two weeks in Malaga, south of Spain. Somehow we had made the reservations for the next day. The staff was able to accommodate us for the night as well as keep us in rhe same room for our entire stay. Five days. The owners are great. Very helpful in giving us information about what to see or... More

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Casona El Arral. It is a historical house, typical from the Northern part of Spain. It has an old chapel next to the building. The room was very spacious and clean, it has "antique furniture". Staff was very friendly. They helped us with the travel arrangements, and also with the sightseeing. They also... More

We spent two nights in September 2010, regret not reviewing sooner as we had a wonderful stay. Ines and Gabriel and their father made us very welcome, even showing us the village and telling us local history, Gabriel's English is excellent which made life more enjoyable for two lazy Brits! The hotel is very comfortable and beautifully furnished, garden is... More

A great welcome to this well preserved old Convent. Spacious room nicely clean and cared for. Main meal in town with a good choice. Quiet night and good breakfast. Great value for night stop , Would return without hesitation.

We stayed for a week , relaxing in the peaceful garden overlooking the river. We were made to feel very welcome by the family who own it. This former convent and school has the feel of a private manor house in which you are a guest , rather than a hotel. Breakfast was typically Spanish, with coffee, freshly squeezed orange... More

We have just returned from a delightful 5 day visit to Casona El Arral. We were made to feel very welcome by both Ines and her father, who were extremely helpful when it came to supply various maps and directions on our days out. We had a very spacious bedroom over looking the delightful garden and court yard. Both the... More

We stayed to celebrate an aniversary party with friends, two nights on our own before all arrived and two additional nights all together. The first nights there were 2 or 3 rooms being used and it was bliss, the other nights not so tranquil as we filled the hotel. The property is an old schoolhouse reformed in a simple rustic... More

We stayed here for one night as it was convenient for the ferry at Santander the next day. The building is a former convent (with chapel attached) and lies on the river in a lane leading to the village, which is about five minutes walk away. Our room was spacious, attractive, and well-appointed, with a view of the garden and... More
