I came to La Volpaia some years ago and truly enjoyed my stay. The location is ideal, the setting and view magnificent . The rustic style farm house had been tastefully renovated and the hosts were courteous, kind and helpful. The food was excellent and the accommodation simple but clean and comfortable. Recently , I returned to Tuscany and decided... More

Don't be put off by the negative reviews. As other have commented this is not a Hilton with polished marble, if that is what you want go to a hotel for 500. This is a wonderful relaxed authentic farmhouse in an idyllic location run by the nicest people you would want to meet. Just beware of the food, the quality... More

This is a very quaint Tuscan retreat. Very comfortable and the host are delightful. Each night as we returned to la Volpaia we were greated with appetizers, fresh made bread, fabulous homemade dinners and pleanty of Chianti! Andre was very helpful in planning the next days adventure. This is a great place to unwind from the hustle and bustle of... More

Meeting Silvia and Andrea and their family made for a real Tuscany experience. This farm stay not only provided a convenient launch pad to explore the smaller towns in Tuscany but helped us truly appreciate local Italian customs and society. The farm was hard to find, even the GPS had problems. We should have followed Silvia's directions. Once we made... More

Some of the negative reviews referred to overgrown, neglected, etc. If you expect a Hilton, don't go here. But, if you are looking for a down-to-earth, authentic, Tuscan experience where the focus is on country hospitality, you cannot go wrong with La Volpaia. We found the hosts to be fabulous people who are very knowledgeable of the area and its... More

My wife and I visited La Volpaia with another couple. We are all experienced travelers in our late sixties, and have traveled together often. We were the only guests at the time, so received the full attention of Silvia and Andrea. Silvia's cooking was wonderful and she was particularly careful of my food allergies. Andrea was an entertaining and informative... More

WARNING - Don't be duped by this couples beautiful web site. The pictures are nothing like reality, other than that it's what it used to look like. ------- It is now in serious need of MAJOR maintenance! Nothing has been kept up. It is more of an over grown weed farm! * Upon locating the place, we parked and found... More

i'm sorry to say i was very disappointed in the inn. The pictures must be from years back. The room was ok but the bathroom was a mess. VERY small shower that look like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. The pool looks like they havn't work on the area around it in years. Very over grown and just not... More

Owners,Silvia and Andrea Taliaco, made this one of the highlights of our trip. Silvia is an outstanding cook. Andrea is an outstanding multi-media artist, and has an in-depth understanding of history and politics. The renovated farmhouse is filled with artworks and is extremely confortable. Go there and spend remarkable evenings with your hosts and other guests around the outside family-style... More

Guided to this magnificent property by word-of-mouth, we were the first guests of the high season when spring green lawns and a gentle haze spread over Tuscany. My wife and I found a luxe-level pastoral retreat atop a hill with breathtaking views, towering cypress trees, gentle horses available for riding, and an Architectural Digest-ready estate that had been restored and...
