I stayed here for 4 nights in July 2013. I spent 10 weeks in Europe and this was my favourite place I stayed. Beautiful grounds, being an old monastery or some such, with a pool for the 40 degree plus weather, communal dinners, and wine-fuelled conversations until the late night with the other guests made this a very memorable experience.... It was my first stay in Tuscany and in also in Italy, so my expectations were high. So we booked a room in charming village. The place is really cool and I liked the whole concept. We spent 3 days in Certaldo, bought vegetables at the market and enjoy dinner in the near restaurant. Everything was very nice except one... More

The kind of place that you just don't want to leave! After the bustle and frenzy of city after city, Bassetto was a refreshing respite and a strong dose of la dolce vita. Beautiful areas to explore all around, love that they have free bikes that you can use to get to town or explore the Tuscan countryside. Great base... More

If you want to stay in a real Tuscany house with home hospitality and to recharge your batteries - that is the ideal place. The nicest place to enjoy italian life. Not only italian, just calm life of the last century with morning coffe with beautiful view, perfect dinner in surroundings and if you want to see different landscapes you... More

I stayed at FB in 2000 (i know I clicked 12/2012 but it was much much farther)--13 years ago and it was amazing! The memories are some of my best and I have subsequently traveled WIDELY. I want to buy/ship a case of their wine back to the states as an anniversary present for the girl I met there and... More

Fattoria Bassetto is like coming home- Only there is no way that your home is as awesome as this! Hayley the manager was very warm and friendly, as was the owner, Francesco. He was even kind enough to drive us to the train station with our heavy bags! The property itself is amazing, as is the surrounding countryside. You get... More

Stayed in a five person dorm with shared bathroom for five nights. We loved our stay at this beautiful time capsule nestled in the Tuscan countryside. The hosts were welcoming, friendly and tended to all our needs from cooking dinner to driving us to the train station, nothing was too much trouble. Make no mistake, this isn't a luxury resort,... Fattoria Bassetto is a wonderful guesthouse full of rustic Tuscan charm. My wife, daughter and I stayed there in June this year and what really struck us was the fact that, as a family owned property, it was imbued with a real sense of personal family history. This ambience is all the stronger for the family books, furniture and paintings... More

Absolutely amazing experience. The staff were incredible especially because I was travelling with a group of 7, many of whom had never been to Europe. Arriving at the hostel we were met by the extremely friendly and helpful staff who understood our dirty, grumpy, travel-stained grunts and quickly settled us into our gorgeous rooms. The town was gorgeous, the other... More
