We stayed here for 2 nights in a room overlooking the pool. Yes the location is a bit out of town, but for us this was a bonus given how boisterous and back-packer-ish the town is. Our room was very clean, nicely furnished and had wifi. The beds were comfortable and made up daily. There is a nice pool overlooking... More

This is a beautiful and peaceful hotel perched atop a mountain with great sunsets and a lovely view. Breakfast is included and they serve fruit, coffee, fresh juice, bread with butter and cheese and jam and eggs done the way you would like with ham or bacon. They also serve lunch and dinner. They are not right in San Juan... More

This is a lovely restaurant serving the best steak dishes around! My husband and I were in the area for one week and we returned 3 times during that period. The avocado and prawn starter followed by steak with garlic and mushrooms was one of my favourite meals here. Roast suckling pig a must too!10/10 for service, lovely welcoming place-... More

Draw backs: Located 10 minutes and 8 to 10 dollars by Taxi from town, last stretch of road steep and rough. DurIng Day, little shelter from sun on concrete patio and pool deck and tiny room balconies. Rooms tiny and sparsely furnished, bed a mattress on concrete slab. No apparent maid or cleaning service during our 4 day tenure. No... More

Arrived at El Jardin with my girl friend after a few weeks in Nicaragua. El Jardin is a beautiful gem of a hotel. It was the best value we came across over our three week vacation. Pierre, the manager, has done a fantastic job updating the space since taking over in March. We enjoyed our best meals of the trip... More

My boyfriend and I travelled to Nicaragua the end of March-beginning of April and this was the first place we stayed at. The hotel itself is beautiful, very bright and colourful and welcoming. We stayed in room #3 but very single room has a beautiful view overlooking the bay. There is a lovely little pool that is great if you... More

We knew we wanted to stay in a quieter area just outside of San Juan Del Sur which is exactly what El Jardin offers. We had a vehicle and we found the hotel easily. The room was clean and quaint and the view from our terrace was beautiful. The onsite manager was friendly and helpful and incredibly accommodating with our... More

I stayed one night at Le Jardin and I had a wonderful time. The view is stunning! The room was very nice, clean and quiet. I ate a goat cheese salad and It was very delicious. The breakfasts are awesome too. It is true that it is far from the city but that is exactly what I wanted and it... More

Hi Nathalie, Thanks for the good review and glad you enjoy your stay at our hotel. Indeed, this is the perfect place to relax and chill if you don't want to be in the crazyness of San Juan del Sur. Hope to see you back then and have a good day! More

Our family of 3 stayed here for 3 nights. We had a car so the location of 4 km outside of town wasn't the biggest of deals but directions to the hotel would have been useful as signage is lacking and we struggled to find it the first time. Our room was right off the breakfast area which was not... More

Hi there, Thanks for your review. We are indeed in a transition phase but willing to do our best to make this place better. Your comments are very useful and we will try to take them into account going forward. We are moving the restaurant long term so might be quieter for the guests staying near this area. We are... Our sheets were white and crisp and the towels thick. Tile and cement painted in colors of the sea and sun, a walk in shower...everything was immaculate. Absolutely stunning view from pool area. Spent the the day exploring the beach below with no other people. Duck pate and goat cheese salad. The meal was lovely, the presentation, the lighting, the... More
