Such a gorgeous, well maintained property. The rooms are built up the slope of a hill overlooking the bay, and are connected by a series of winding brickwork stairs. It's almost reminiscent of Santorini. Even the rooms have a Grecian isle feel and are super clean, comfortable and secure. We stayed in Cabina Achiote, which had a sizable balcony with... More

I accidentally booked it for the wrong days, was suppose to be there New years eve. showed up and thou it was booked they were very helpful getting my room for the 2nd-5th of Jan. Pool rules were strange but was great otherwise. SJDS was a great experience. Pelican Eyes was a big part of that

Beautiful semi private villas with great views and an extremely helpful staff (although service is a little slow at times...just don't be in a hurry, you are on vacation!) They will pick you up and drop you off if you want to avoid all those stairs coming back from town, and help you arrange any kind of adventure you would... More

This hotel is so beautiful!! The staff is great and very accommodating. The rooms are fantastic with great views. The hotel is walking distance to the town. My two downs, the thousands of steps and the ants.

Casitas are spacious and offer all the comforts of home (full kitchen, dining area, patios, etc..) AMAZING views and beautiful grounds. Staff is welcoming and helpful. Only problem was the plethora of bugs, ants, spider, scorpions and even a bat. This is not the hotels fault but they could be more proactive in fumigation. In their defense the manager appropriately... More

San Juan del Sur was a cruise ship stop of eleven hours. I disembarked and walked the small town taking pictures and playing tourist....not much to see. I was fortunate to find a couple signs for the Pelican Eyes Resort and walked up the hill to the Resorts many steps. The walk was worth the effort. Excellent views of the... More

Pelican Eyes is beautiful. The views are stunning and the pools are great. However, and this may be unfair to the resort, but Phase 2 is best avoided at this point. They are large, lovely town homes with amazing views, but the whole area feels unfinished. The town homes are surrounded by rocky, dusty dirt roads. You need to drive... More

The hotel is up in a mountain, views are breathtaking! But the staff is the best part, starting with the receptionist, Mayra I believe is her name. Views from the 3 infinity pools are to die for and the 3 bartenders by the upstairs pool are the best, make sure you say hi to Alonzo, Ricardo and Jorge. Drivers are... More
