If you are ever looking for a great inexpensive vacation try Nicaragua. The Pelican Eye hotel in San Juan Del Sur is amazing. Every room have an awesome view. They have rooms and houses on the property. The staff is super friendly and go out of their way to make your day fantastic! The spa is small but great. You... More

Pelican Eyes is beautiful. The views are stunning and the pools are great. However, and this may be unfair to the resort, but Phase 2 is best avoided at this point. They are large, lovely town homes with amazing views, but the whole area feels unfinished. The town homes are surrounded by rocky, dusty dirt roads. You need to drive... More

The hotel is up in a mountain, views are breathtaking! But the staff is the best part, starting with the receptionist, Mayra I believe is her name. Views from the 3 infinity pools are to die for and the 3 bartenders by the upstairs pool are the best, make sure you say hi to Alonzo, Ricardo and Jorge. Drivers are... More

Returned to this resort after our last stay in 2004. Although a little worse for wear and tear after all these years, still a great place to stay. We had a two bed, two bath casita with kitchen in the secure compound convenient to town, walking or driving. Good for families. The staff is extremely accomodating and attentive. Prices for... From the moment we arrived at Pelican Eyes we were greeted by some of the friendliest staff I've ever come across as well as a delicious "welcome drink ". Meylin at the front desk was very helpful in making some last minute changes to our reservations and making sure that our accommodations throughout the entire stay were perfect. We were... More

This is my second time staying in this place. The first time we stayed in Dolce Vita and this time in Jazmin. It's a great place to stay. The view of the bay is beautiful specially watching the sunset either from the pool or the balcony. The service is great and no worries regarding belongings. I felt very safe. This... More

Spacious hillside casitas overlooking the harbor. The swimming pools were a big hit with our sons. We even had trouble getting them out of the pool to explore the town. Friendly and accommodating staff and delicious breakfasts. The views of the sunset over the Pacific and the lights of the town at night were amazing. It is a 10 minute... More

We were a little wary having read some of the recent reviews, but we had an incredible stay in every way. The room was extremely clean, comfortable and great views. We were in Cabina Roble. The staff was very friendly and the F&B director was very accommodating. The bar service was better when he was around, a little slower when... More

We stayed 5 days and it was plesant. The hotel is very convenient to downtown. The WiFi works sometimes. They let other people pay for the use of the pool which I found it was aggravating to find seats and they were not there typical guests, I felt that I needed to keep a watchful eye on my belongings.

Great views and strong drinks. We only came here for lunch so I can't comment on the hotel but it is pretty. The food was mediocre and pricey. This was the most money we spent on food and drink the whole time we were in Nicaragua. The drinks were strong and the Bloody Mary's and Mohitos were good
