We've traveled throughout Central America and found Nicaragua to be our favorite spot, especially our 3 nights at Morgan's Rock. Everyone was friendly, the people who worked there, as well as fellow travelers we met. It is one of the most spectacular places we've been to. The food was delicious, especialy lunch..you must try the Red Snapper Tipitaca. The bungalows... More

My husband & I honeymooned for 2 weeks in Costa Rica and Nicaragua in Nov. 2006, and enjoyed 3 fabulous nights at Morgans Rock. We loved Nicaragua even more than Costa Rica and the service here is fabulous. A driver picked us up at the CR border and arrived with a cooler filled with sandwiches and cold drinks for us.... We arrived at Morgan Rock after a harrowing border crossing from Costa Rica. We were hot, tired and a bit unsettled. When we arrived the staff were lined up to greet us with cold fruit drinks in hand. This was the "luxury" part of a trip to visit family in Managua. There were three of us, including an eight year... Not for the faint of heart. if you're more of a cut & paste Four Seasons type, this is probably not for you. First, the pros... we loved Morgan's Rock; the attention to detail in materials and thought put into the property resonated for us. The main lodge is beautiful and feels as though its been there for eternity. The... More

We had our new year celebration in this hotel and it was a great party on the beach. You have the beach almost to yourself, a nice swell giving great opportunities to learn how to surf and the rooms are spacious and well maintained. Food and drinks are good but not spectacular. Price is high especially compared to other (good)... More

Definitely not inexpensive but the secluded location and excellent staff make it worth the while! I'd say luxury camping with stunning views and a secluded private beach. The room was more like a private cabin with your own balcony, outdoor shower, hammock bed, small table and chairs. Coffee can be delivered to your room in the morning upon request. I... More

I went back and forth as to 3, 4 or 5 stars! Some things were just awesome here, the food being absolutely outstanding, to being just ok: the room. I felt like my old tobacco storage barn back in NC where the migrant workers used to bunk was almost as nice. The prices are just crazy IMHO for Nicaragua. I... More

The location of the resort and the facilities are great. Lovely private beach and good activities. Staff were good and the rooms amazing. Only slight downer (coz I love my food) was th food. Was never bad and sometimes good but never great. For the price point I expect much better. They train locals anddont have a full time chef... More

I almost hesitate to write a review because we had such a great time being nearly by ourselves on this beautiful property that I want to keep it to ourselves. But I owe it to Morgan's Rock and to you fellow nature lover's out there to share our experience. My wife and I spent 5 days at MR two weeks... More

The best place in nicaragua! We started our honeymoon here and it felt like we where on our own island. Very luxe treebungalows, very spacious and a view on the bay what makes it magical. The people are most friendly and work hard to make it a good stay for everyone. Really eager to learn and the food is fantastic.... More
