We had a nice stay but I don't think the price justifies what you get. You can easily find private rooms in SJDS for $8-$30 so when we paid US$60 after taxes, we were expecting to get a little more. Our $60 private room included a shared bathroom, no air conditioning, and a balcony with no chairs and a beautiful... More

Good service, nice people. Quality of rooms is very different, we were offered 5 person room for 2 on the second floor, the problem was that not all the windows have nets and internet was not available there. But our room was changed quickly on our complaint. Nice breakfast, nothing extraordinary. Just 1 minute from the SJDS beach what is... More

Had a lovely three night stay at CocoAzul, one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in for a long time. Amazing friendly staff and great atention to detail! I would highly recommend this as top of the lost for places to stay in San Juna del Sur.

Great location- a very short walk to the beach and bars/restaurants. The staff were all very nice and the breakfasts were delicious. The rooms were very clean and freshly decorated. We loved our little balcony outside the room. I would definitely recommend El Coco Azul!

We stayed here for our first two nights in Nicaragua. The hotel is clean and modern; and has a very beach-town feel. It's a short 3-minute walk to the beach. There is beautiful and brightly-colored art decorating the walls of the hotel. We stayed in one of the rooms with a private bathroom; but there were two sets of bunk-beds... More

El Coco Azul was really good value for money, there are so many hotels that are overpriced and dirty this is not one of them. Everything is modern and fresh looking, the rooms are serviced daily. The rooms are huge, free breakfast is a nice bonus they sometimes serve the most amazing rice and beans and salsa. Everything felt safe... More

Stayed here as a treat from usual budget hostels though not all that much more costly and overall with breakfast (and a good two course with yum refill coffee) was not really all that much more expensive. Rooms are luvly with a balcony with a laegw spacious and well decorated living area. Few people here when we stayed so had... More

We stayed two nights at El Coco Azul, and loved it. We had a private room with a queen size bed and a bunk bed. It was spacious with a cute balcony. And we shared a clean and comfortable bathroom (no hot water, but we expected this). The communal areas are lovely - spacious, impeccably clean and comfortable, and the... More

I love the decor of this little 6-room hotel--all white and blue, with tile floors, almost like being in Greece. The public spaces, where breakfast is prepared to your order, are airy and inviting. Our upstairs room had a double bed and bunks, a small balcony, and French screen doors that, combined with the ceiling fan, kept the room cool.... More
