An oceanfront room is a must....just stunning, The staff is helpful and accomodating. If you are staying on the beach, this is the most elegant by far. You may hear some music from the beach front parties, but it didn't keep us awake at all.

we stayed 3 nights over the weekend . We had the roof top room (number 7th) with a pretty large balcony overlooking the sea. The noise from the discoteques was'nt so loud and we slept well. the best in the hotel is the staff that come out of their way to make you feel great. Daniel was the multitasking guy... More

We recently stayed for 2 nights on at the Hotel Alcazar and overall, had a pleasant experience. The hotel is one of the newer (and much nicer) hotels on the main beach road, and is equipped with a small pool, new bar and nice sized rooms. We were placed in the sole room on the top floor which comes with... More

The hotel is wonderful, the rooms spacious and comfortable. The staff is great. If this heater was in a different lactation it would be perfect. During the week it is quiet but come Thursday-Saturday it is right in next to a VERY loud club. When we made the reservation they warned us, I could not imagine that I would feel... More

This hotel is excellent; however, it's a shame it's located adjacent to a club and bar where the music is almost unbearable on weekend nights. We would certainly stay here again, but only Mon-Thur nights. I'm surprised that local zoning laws allow for the proximity of a club right next to a hotel where people sleep at night. If you... More

The hotel is well appointed and the staff is very helpful. The room layout is clean in design and the platform beds are quite comfortable in room 2. We did have a small issue with hot water but it was quickly corrected (no big deal). The rooms do face the waterfront and be very noisy. The front desk has earplugs... More

Hotel Alcazar is a new property in San Juan del Sur. I loved this hotel. It was expensive compared to the other hotels in the area, but it was really nice. Our room was on the third floor and we had a wonderful view of the beach. Daniel at the front desk was so helpful. The pool is just a... More

Alcazar sits on the main street right across from the beach. The balcony off our spacious and well appointed room overlooked the beach. I could have sat for hours on the couch or chairs staring out at the water. But, of course, that would have meant not enjoying San Juan del Sur and all that it has to offer... There... More

I have never had finer or more personal service than we received from Natalie (Front Desk/Concierge who is Nicaraguan and speaks English fluently) and all the kind folks at Alcazar. The rooms were finely appointed, and they explained that due to circumstances beyond their control that water pressure could be a problem (it wasn't for us), but they could make... More

The rooms were huge as was the sitting area and balcony overlooking the bay. The rooms were very clean and I enjoyed the huge bowl of fruit every morning. The pool is very small, but a good way to cool off. The staff were very helpful. I am not sure I would stay here again though as the noise from... More
