I recently stayed at Maderas Village and absolutely loved it. I read through some of the previous reviews and was worried but after arriving I didn't want to leave. You have to know what to expect before visiting a place like this - You're getting the bare essentials...but in the most beautiful packaging. The ride here from Managua airport is... More

I was in Nicaragua with my girlfriends about 2 weeks ago and we stayed in The Maderas Village ( well 3 of them) a friend and I stayed in the beach house like 10 feet from here called the Oleada Beach House. We ate breakfast everyday here and did yoga. l loved it here. You have to be open for... More

After looking at their website and social media profiles I was very much looking to our stay at Maderas Village. Many of their photos show people lounging on the beach enjoying a large variety of common areas. Meanwhile Maderas Village is actually located 10 minutes away up a steep hill and through the woods and their common areas are rather... More

I an travelling in Nicaragua with my friend and we have stayed at very nice places in Granada and Laguna de Apoyo. Madeiras Village was a real disappointment instead. First of all the place is not on the beach and there is only one room, the penthouse, that has a real beach view. The pictures on the website are very misleading.... More

I normally travel the world based on guide recommendations such as Lonely planet. I let myself tempted by more modern ways this time with Nicaragua and I have to say that after my experience at Maderas Village I felt that it was necessary to sign up in Trip Advisor. The marketing of this place in Instagram and other digital tool... More

The staff was amazing and took us on their adventures with us. They were always helpful in planning the next leg of our trip, transportation or and daily activities we wished to do. I even got free surf lessons from one. Morning yoga is a must after a late night of relaxing and socializing with all the other like minded... More

The place is very cool, on a hilltop that only off road vehicles can get to. Then you get a well built hut and hear monkeys all night. Which does not bother (makes you feel one with nature.) If you surf like me there is a great break down the hill at maderas beach. Cool locals, cheap beers. All in... More

Maderas Village is for all those souls who enjoy moments of solitude as much as the ones in community where you get to connect with people sharing your same vision. This eco hotel screams LIFE and creativity more than any other hotel I’ve visited so far. It is a place where guests can forget about work, stress, or any issues... More

I stayed 10 days and had a great time. Nature trail that takes you right to the beach of Playa Maderas where you can walk to 3 different beaches. We went into town and chartered boats with Nica Surf exploring up and down the Coast including some spots that you will never forget. Incredible people, the best of times and... More

I wrote a review about one year ago next month. My general sentiments haven't changed. Just go. I always overpack. Trust me when I say all you need is a pair of sneakers/sandals, a swimsuit and a shirt. It's exactly what you need and it's gotten even better over the last year. They have about double the staff now so... More
