We had such a beautiful time at Maderas. The ocean, sun and breeze are all incredible. Communal meals, boat trips, hikes and morning yoga gave us the opportunity to leave the city behind and simply reconnect. Staff and guests are all very cool. Maderas Village is extremely special.

My fiance and I recently got engaged in Maderas. For starters the staff was helpful, caring, accommodating, and familial. The environment was relaxing with the perfect blend of social life and privacy. The family dinners were a wonderful way to meet other travelers, chat about local attractions, and generally bask in the unique community they've built. They offer various trips... More

I went to Maderas because my friend chose it. It seemed a little too "hippie" for me, but I thought it would be an interesting and relaxing experience. I ended up loving it. You can engage as much or as little as you would like with the people that work there and other guests. There is no pressure to socialize... More

This is my 2nd time back to Maderas Village, and I love it! I was really surprised to see the recent negative reviews seeing as most of the things said were the exact opposite of my experiences. It is a family style hotel/hostel where you have a family dinner every night together (along with a ton of other activities). its... More

I stayed here with my girlfriend back in November in their penthouse suite and to say it was beautiful is an understatement! The location and staff truly make this a very unique hotel experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful and I'd recommend this hotel to anyone :)

Have you ever gone to one of those restaurants where the theme is for the service to be bad and the waiters to be rude? Have you enjoyed it? If so, Maderas Village is the place for you! You will be lucky if anyone working at Maderas even makes eye contact with you during your stay, until it's time to... More

A visit to Maderas Village is akin to staying with a distant relative who clearly resents your presence on the occasion of a funeral. You will not be greeted warmly by any of the "staff," for meals you will be served whatever they bothered to stock up on after the "staff" have had their fill, you may even be able... More

I spent a week in Maderas Village and will highly recommend it to friends. The village is on top of the hill above a beautiful beach (about 5 - 8 min walk) where you can take surf lessons or just hang around one of the three bars. The all staff was super nice and accommodating. All the rooms are basic... More

I arrived stressed and tense and left a few days later a different person. Great vibes, great location, great food and great people. The catamaran day they arranged was unforgettable. It's the type of place you meet strangers over dinner, but stay up all night talking. No need for an alarm clock when you monkeys to wake you up for... More
