We stayed at Rancho Cecilia for 5 days and had such a great time. We had never surfed before but Liz and Scott were great teachers and we had a blast. We had a great time at sunset happy hour / dinner with our fabulous hosts and also enjoyed hanging out in our hammocks in the morning. The casita is... More

In late December, my husband and I rented equipment and arranged for an English friend to take surf lessons from Liz & Scott who own Rancho Cecilia. They catered to our every need! We knew in advance what type of board we'd be surfing, as Liz sent us a long list of boards to choose from. There was no need... More

We stayed with Liz and Scott for 10 days and would have loved to stay much longer. Besides the amazing nature, great surfing and relaxing, the hospitality we experienced made us feel like good friends from the first day on. Sunset cocktails on their deck, homemade dinners and entertaining in their house are just a few things of their efforts... More

We stayed with Liz and Scott for a week in early November and simply had the best time ever!!! such wonderful hosts that welcome you as soon as you enter the property. Their 3 dogs "the chicas" are always there keeping an eye on things even when you are not around. Staying in our private cabina in the jungle couldn't... More

I loved this place! Stayed here for three days in November and miss it already. The casita is a very sweet set-up...you have your own kitchen if you are so inclined to cook (we just made ourselves breakfast every morning), stereo system, and lots of good reading material to take to the beach. Liz and Scott (and their dogs) were... More

My husband and I had just come from the states after a very stressful wedding to honeymoon in Nicarauga. He planned it all in secret and did a wonderful job. Justin and Scott and Liz had been emailing back and forth about the trip. They set up transportation for us when we arrived at the airport. We got into Nicaragua... More

My husband and I were in search of a surf vacation and wanted to stay somewhere more rustic and not touristy. We stumbled across Rancho Cecilia and it appeared to be exactly what we were looking for. From the first time I e-mailed Liz and Scott they were extremely helpful. We decided to rent the Casita. It was perfect! It's... More

I had the best surf trip of my life with Scott and Liz. I highly recommend staying here. The casita is off the beaten path and perfect for someone who just wants to get away and chill out. The casita is very clean, has a full kitchen, and howler monkeys to keep you company. Scott and Liz took my girlfriend... More

I spent 5 days at the Casita and I enjoyed every last minute. The Casita is very clean my hosts Liz and Scott stocked the fridge with beer and food for my arrival. The breeze is fantastic in the bedroom on hot days/nights. Liz and Scott gave me surf lessons and took pictures of me catching waves (small waves!) that... More
