My husband and I recently stayed here for three nights. I had read an article about the inn when it first opened in 2010 and saved the article for a future visit. Finding the article this winter...I decided this was the year to visit the Nature Inn. We are so glad that we did. The Inn is beautiful. My husband,... More

My wife and I were on our way from Chicago to Mass. and needed a place to stay between Ohio and Mass. My wife found a place to stay a little North of I80. The place was The Nature Inn at Bald Eagle State Park. It's set up on a ridge above the lake in an open forest. It's built... More

We arrived late at night, returning to Ohio after a week in NYC. What a great place to unwind. We were traveling with our two teens for spring break. They loved how the hotel was completely "green" and unique in so many ways. Breakfast was HUGE and made to order, the beds were incredibly comfortable, spacious rooms, and waking up... More

Staying at Nature Inn is a truly unique experience. If you love nature, are a birder or just enjoy being outdoors, you have just found your dream experience by checking into the inn. The morning breakfasts are delicious. A lot of thought was put into building the inn. There is a bird book library, plenty of cosy areas throughout the... More

We arrived at the inn just before sunset and it was perfect. We watched the sunset from our balcony water view room and the drove around to see it in the other areas of the park. Just wonderful. Then, we watched the moon rise above Bald Eagle Mountain. Yikes~! The rooms here are big and spacious. The bed was comfortable.... More

While I hardly need to "gild the lily," I want to add our voice to the many who found The Nature Inn a superb retreat. The setting is gorgeous. The Inn is a true model of energy efficiency. The furnishings are local woods by local craftspeople. The guest rooms are large, comfortable, and well appointed. Breakfasts are ordered in advance... More

Stayed at Nature Inn this past weekend. We went to the Penn State/Temple game. The Inn is beautiful and spotless. It is about a 30 min ride from State College and coming back in the dark is a little scary, you just have to go slow especially through the Park. Our room was on the lake side and was a... More

So beautiful, nestled in the heart of the mountains. We went on a nice hike where we went to the lake. That gave us some good exercise and wonderful views. All around the hotel there are places to sit and look out over the beautiful views. They have telescopes to try to see the wildlife. They also have many patios,... More

Thank you for your review, it sounded like the perfect getaway!! A mix of outdoor adventure and relaxation is what we do best. Between the hiking, biking, boating, fishing and bird watching there are plenty of outdoor activities; and lest we forget, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and tobogganing in the winter! Relaxing on the porches, patio or around the fire... More

We needed a one night stay between NYC and Cleveland, OH. This was a great find. Off the main highway about 15 minutes but well worth it. A new green energy building that overlooks Bald Eagle Lake. The rooms are very clean and comes with balcony. I am an avid bird watcher so this really worked for me, my first... More

Glad we could provide a little respite on your journey! The Nature Inn is certainly the place for an avid bird watcher like you. In the guest rooms and our various common areas you will find Audubon and Ned Smith prints highlighting the area’s birding heritage. And be sure to check the park’s monthly event calendar for potential birding activities... More
