I have several friends in this part of Pa. This hotel os 1/2 between stops so it was convenient. YES IT IS AN OLD HOTEL. I was told by the staff that they cannot add an elevator because it has a historic/landmark status.... OK by me as I am still capable of carrying my own bags up the stairs... MIGHT... More

I took my wife here in September to celebrate our anniversary. It was so nice we decided to come back for Valentines Day. We stayed overnight and had dinner in the restaurant and hung out in the bar afterwards. We had a really great time, the food was really good. It seems they created a special menu and it was... Hotel Wayne in Honesdale PA. Charming, very charming. Please don't stay here if you are a fan of chain motels, you won't be happy. Hotel Wayne is a throwback to another time, built in 1827. It's original in most ways, and that's what makes it so cool and unusual. We stayed on a saturday night in October, so getting a... More

The food at the hotel is generally fairly good. However the reservation process in booking a table needs improvement. On booking a table on two occasions we were either forced to wait an extended amount of time or totally ignored. My last experience was a disaster, I waited for over an hour for a table without so much as an... More

I want to reiterate my feelings about this hotel following my second stay. It was truly an experience enjoyed by all of my family members, particularly the restaurant which provided excellent meals. The rooms were more than sufficient in size and amenities, and the services provided were very good. Actually, it was a most interesting experience in that the hotel... More

I took my wife to the Hotel Wayne to celebrate our anniversary. Even though we live locally, we decided to stay overnight, have dinner and hang out at the very cool bar which was filled with local people, many of whom we knew. We stayed in one of their one bedroom suites which represented the historic character of the hotel.... More

Hotel about 200 years old...and the accommodations not far behind. Front desk clerk okay. Price for this room, way too much....would not stay there again. Was on third floor...no elevator..room very small...bathroom very small...shower was awful...kept getting ice cold and then burning hot water. No tissues or hair dryer in room..if needed had to go to front desk..No breakfast.. Thank... More

We are sorry that you did not have a positive experience at the Hotel Wayne. The Hotel was built in 1827.It is truly a historic hotel and we really strive to provide the most modern amenities combining that with our rich history and providing our historic charm (still have real room keys and original tin ceilings). In the olden days,... More

We stayed 2 nights in the Wayne Hotel, and would NOT reccommend it to anyone. While the staff seemed nice, and the bar and restaurant have a decent reputation, the hotel was built in 1909, and the rooms are still there! Toilet was so small an average size person will have trouble drying off, and forget about using the "facility".... More

Other reviewers have made the distinction between reviewing the Hotel Wayne for its very cool bar and restaurant scene and the actual hotel room. We stayed on the third floor in a small suite, which was $12 more than the first room they showed us which was only slightly larger than the bed. The place is full of character, clean,... More

Ok so I think a lot of people give this place higher reviews than deserved because they lump in the bar with it. This review is strictly about the rooms and the hotel, not the restaurant or bar. the restaurant and bar are fine and the staff is nice this will be about the rooms and the hotel. We stayed... More
