The common areas and bed rooms are very nice and the owners go out of their way to make a stay enjoyable. We had biked 40 miles and were welcomed with wonderful mint infused tea and home made cookies. Our restaurant was about 20 minutes away by car and the owners not only provided transportation, they changed our reservation at... More

I've stayed at the James Manning House several times now -- winter, spring, and summer -- while dealing with family business in the area. It is a remarkably comfortable and welcoming place in every season, and hosts Warren and Janet do everything to make a stay comfortable, relaxing and care-free. The incredible breakfasts alone are worth a visit! Spotlessly clean,... More

Among the greatest things about living in the Northeast are the seasons. Among the greatest things about being an innkeeper are the wonderful people we get to meet. More

We stayed in the area to pick up daughter from camp the next morning. It could not have been a more relaxing stay. Janet and Warren are very accommodating host. The Inn is beautifully decorated and the breakfast was outstanding..

This is an outstanding B&B - easily one of the nicest that we have ever experienced. We decided on this place for the simple reason that it broke a north-south trip in half and it was not far off of I-81. While its web site is professional and an absolutely valid portrayal of reality, it does not fully capture the... More

A friend of mine and I decided to get away for a weekend to the mountains above Scranton Pa. As I looked at local B&B's I noticed what seemed to be a beautiful quiet place near Honesdale Pa. The drive up was beautiful, it was a wonderful spring day in the Pa. Mountains, and Warren and Janet, the owners of... More

Wonderfully restored 200 year old home of a colonial judge. The owners, Warren and Janet, were the most pleasant and interesting people to meet and chat with. The level of detail in the amenities is incredible. The food was innovative, all home made and absolutely delicious. The innkeepers were very accommodating to any allergies or particular food needs of their... More

This is an excellent BnB! Janet and Warren are so nice and genuine and really enjoy working with people and making their guests happy. The house is beautiful and cozy. By far the best BnB we have ever stayed in. We were looking for a quiet place to getaway and celebrate our first wedding anniversary and could not have picked... More

We just returned from a little getaway to the James Manning B&B. Cozy, clean, quiet and comfy!! The house is amazing, full of old-world charm and beauty. Warren and Janet are great - so kind and relaxed, easy to talk to and hospitable. Our room was clean and cozy, just what we needed. The breakfast was huge and delicious -... More

This is the best B and B we have ever stayed at. The owners Warren and Janet, were lovely and very welcoming. They were friendly and offered us great advice on places to eat and on local attractions. We let them know when we booked that I was allergic to gluten. Was very impressed to be offered delicious home baked... More

We have stayed in many, many B&B's and the James Manning house ranks right up there at the top. We spent last weekend with Janet and Warren and couldn't have been more pleased or well taken care of. My husband and I along with his sister and her husband booked here as we had to be in the area for... More
