We traveled to Barley Sheaf Estate, where my husband and I got engaged. The weekend was wonderful, but it wasn't entirely due to Barley Sheaf. The room was beautiful; we stayed in the Dancing in the Dark Suite which was beautiful. The room had two bathrooms, a Jacuzzi tub and sitting area and a bedroom. The breakfast at Barley Sheaf... more

My Fiance' and I were looking for the perfect location for a romantic wedding & we thought we found it when we visited the Barley Sheaf . At first glance the country setting seemed like the perfect location for an outdoor reception. We stopped by in March & spoke to the inn keeper & picked up some information. The gentleman... more

After spending a fabulous honeymoon at the Barley Sheaf my husband and I decided to return for our first anniversary. Unfortunately the establishment seems to be declining with the economy. We were appalled and shocked to find plastic (yes, plastic) bags of muffins and banana bread on the counter as breakfast. There were NO staff onsite except for a rather... more

I was privileged to celebrate my birthday weekend at the Barley Sheaf's June Moon Suite. The room was wonderful, the bathroom luxurious. The bed and pillows were fantastic! Although we were somewhat above the eating area in the main house, we were not disturbed in the morning by any kitchen noises or clattering dishes. The air conditioning worked great also.... more

Just spent a restul three days at the Barley Sheaf. Clean and quiet but getting a bit rough around the edges. Chose this inn based on website and several reviews. However, the grounds need a bit of work, looking a bit shabby. Particularly chose this inn because they have a swimming pool. They don't tell you, however that the pool... more

For our second anniversary we chose the 'Night at the Opera' bedroom. The best view!!! - large picture windows, magnificent furniture and bed, and bathroom. Fantastic breakfast and incredibly beautiful grounds. Sitting drinking wine, eating cheese and looking at the beautiful Bucks Country landscapes and the B&B's lively birdfeeders.... Lambertville (up the street, just over the river in New Jersey)... more

My husband and I were recommended this upmarket B&B for a relaxing weekend getaway and were not disappointed. The food was outstanding - we highly recommend the 7 course wine tasting supper. It sounds like a lot of food, but the courses are very light (ie crabmeat, avacado, cilantro 'martini') and it turned out to be the best food we... more

We just returned from a wonderful midweek one-night stay at the Barley Sheaf. Originally, we had wanted to visit over the weekend, but the Barley Sheaf, as most B&Bs, required a two-night stay over the weekend. The Barley Sheaf looked amazing on its website, but we had been a bit apprehensive about going there because of the dirth of current... more
