Ok - in a nutshell, here's the good: The resort was beautiful. I went with my husband and 3 kids, ages 6, 9 and 11. They enjoyed the driving range tremendously. They also enjoyed the lake - we were able to go on the canoes and the kayaks. My youngest enjoyed the playground a lot. The food at the Clubhouse... more

I am not a 'winter' person, so when my husband's company was sending us here for the weekend, I was not immediately thrilled. That all changed when I walked into this beautiful lodge! The staff was EXTREMELY pleasant and helpful, contrary to the other reviews on this site. The entire lodge is immaculate, and the rooms are gorgeous. Huge bathroom,... more

The room was great, the flip of a switch fireplace was wonderful and the one resturant on the resort had fabulous food. But that's it. The staff was rude, they wouldnt let you check in until the precise min. which left a huge line of people waiting. The hotel did not try and control the loud abnoxtious other guest that... more

First of all, I want to stress how much I really wanted to like this place. I have wanted to bring my family here for a long time, and finally did this past Christmas vacation. It is a very beautiful place, and I do think the lodge is nicely decorated. But when your first impression is with a very rude... more

Stayed at the Lodge towards the end of the winter season. A real getaway for those looking for absolute peacefulness. As my title suggests, no cell phone service in the valley by the lakes. This is ok when you're looking to getaway for a weekend. We stayed at the Lodge and snowboarded at the mountain over the course of 2... more

It's really a shame that such a lovely property is so poorly staffed. Quality service is really what transforms a mediocre environment into something more upscale. Eagle Creek wants to bill itself as an "upscale" resort -- but they fail in service time & again. What struck me first was the ambitiousness of the project. Eagle Creek is a sprawling... more

I have read some of the reviews on this hotel in Hazleton, PA and was a very disappointed with them. This resort is on many beautiful acres of land and has many ammenities on site. Some of the comments weren't "fair" to this wonderful getaway. There is a lodge with a great valley view, a spa and fitness center (free... more

We visited the Hazleton area in February for a family wedding. We, along with other members of the family, stayed at Eagle Rock Resort. We had a very nice experience there. The Lodge is beautiful. The individual guest rooms are very cozy and clean. Our room had a view of an unspoiled, snow covered mountain. The staff was friendly and... more

OK! First of all, let's look at the "natives"...guaranteed that most of them know only PA...PA...and PA. They are nice honest working people, not used the the hussle and bussle of the city slicks (i.e. multi tasking, two jobs, fun by night and 2am as the standard time to go to bed its for superman.) In other words, do not... more
