We were unable to get overnight accommodations. But we had a wonderful cocktail strolling the gardens. We had numerous visits from a hummingbird. We enjoyed our meal on the terrace watching the sunset. We were impressed with the fresh ingredients and tasty food combinations. Our server Brandon was terrific. A memorable evening. We will plan ahead for our next trip.

Breakfast was delicious and dinner even better. Live music too. Very cozy by the fire and played scrabble too. Wine selection was superb. Not too far of a drive from Philly. What a wonderful romantic getaway!

We needed to stay overnight after camp visiting day this past weekend. Settlers Inn has been around forever in Hawley, PA but I never stayed there. The room was great and the inn has a tremendous amount of charm. The room rate was a bit expensive for a Sunday night but there aren't too many options nearby. This was the... More

In looking for accommodation in the Poconos, we were trying to stay away from the larger hotels, and trying to avoid the congestion that that may bring, while trying to ensure a level of service and comfort that you would expect from a larger hotel. With this Inn, we found it. While the Inn itself is quaint, and limited to... More

We recently spent 2 very enjoyable days at the Settlers Inn. The inn is a treasure, decorated in Stickley furniture, comfortable beds, and spacious rooms. The restaurant is exceptional, with fresh and perfectly prepared food. The staff goes out of their way to be pleasant and helpful. There are beautiful gardens to wander through and many benches and sitting areas to... More

We have been going to this area off and on since the 1970's when our children were still at home. We usually stayed at Silver Birches (now Ehrhardt's Lakeside Resort), a great family resort. While in the area, I have always enjoyed fishing for bass on Lake Wallenpaupack. My wife and I recently stayed at Settlers Inn for two nights.... More

This is a beautifully restored, older Inn. Comfortable in every way. It is in the middle of town, so there will be some street noise. The meals here are spectacular. Best waffles we have ever had (by a mile!), and the main chef does wonders with local ingredients. Do take the time (with a bottle of nice wine, perhaps), to... More

This Inn is a charming bed and breakfast. The back porch and gardens are lovely and it is a nice place to relax, sit in the sun, and enjoy a good book. It's unfortunate that it's so close to a main road, but they do an excellent job of keeping the gardens beautifully manicured and everyone who works at the... More

On Mother's Day weekend, we were unable to visit with Mom on that Sunday, but we instead took her and Dad to brunch the day before at the Settler's Inn. They had a wonderful time. We were the first reservation so we got our pick of seating. The server was very attentive and helpful and the food was great. It's... More

My husband and I spent Memorial Day weekend in the Poconos and had the good fortune of staying at The Settlers Inn in Hawley, PA. It is a charming property, built originally in the 1920, and has authentic arts and crafts style furnishings, including the dining room chairs from the Bryn Athyn Cathedral in Philadelphia. Dinner on the patio overlooking... More
