On October 11, I attended my 45th class reunion at the Settlers Inn in Hawley. It was a wonderful evening and I thank the Genzlingers(Jeanne and Grant) for their hospitality and for providing us with a private banquet room for our reunion. The food was delicious and the service was A-1. As always, the Settlers Inn was FIRST CLASS !

Attended the class of 69 reunion in October the food was terrible the beef was to tough to chew the chicken was dry and tasteless potatoes over cooked green beans like leather and a little dish of ice cream for desert at 50dollars a head I felt like I got ripped off and buy the time I got to get... We stayed in Room 101 -- I believe it may have been the largest room but it was exactly what we needed --- a sleeping area and a living-room area. The outside deck/sitting space was a plus. The amenities were first rate and the bed exceptionally comfortable. We enjoyed the few dinners we had at the Inn and especially liked... More

In the past I had a, not such good review. This time it is all good. Piano man was great, Steve the greeter was on point, wait staff friendly and on target, food was much better than over a year ago. Went with friends and had a great evening ! Thank you Steve and Settlers team !

Nice hotel located off Main Street. Lovely wood trim all over the hotel. Easy check in and taken to our room on second floor. No elevator so be aware of that. Our room was very clean yet small. Very comfy queen bed, flat screen TV and love seat. Breakfast was included. Fancy named food but basically bacon and eggs with... More

A richly atmospheric inn with beautiful wood beams and a stunning garden in the rear. Most of all, the food is sensational, with simple but brilliantly prepared dinner and breakfast. If not too cold, you can dine on the veranda overlooking the garden. Exceptionally friendly service, too. The rooms are very comfortable with nice beds, though the cheapest rooms are... More

My wife and I stayed two nights recently and found the Inn to be delightful in every way. The room was spacious and clean. The back porch overlooking the beautifully landscaped yard made us feel like we were in the privacy of a private estate. The breakfasts were served in a charming restaurant with white table linen. The check in... More

We spent a beautiful Saturday night dining on the back porch overlooking the gardens. Service was adequate but food was amazing. I had the scallops which were a little salty as previous reviewers had mentioned but not overpowering. Pesto risotto was yummy. Should have skipped the corn bisque which was a little bland. My husband's pork tenderloin with cherry compote... More

First class dining and rooms. Staff is wonderful and the surrounding town and area has plenty to do for a weekend away.It is more couples oriented but kids I believe are welcome. If you like to horseback ride that is in the area as well as tubing down the laxawaxeen river.

We were unable to get overnight accommodations. But we had a wonderful cocktail strolling the gardens. We had numerous visits from a hummingbird. We enjoyed our meal on the terrace watching the sunset. We were impressed with the fresh ingredients and tasty food combinations. Our server Brandon was terrific. A memorable evening. We will plan ahead for our next trip.
