We had the best experience working with City House to Plan a bridal shower. It was a perfect venue for 25 people - it feels like you are in someone's gorgeous mansion on the riverfront. Not only was it cost effective, given that you can bring your own food or catering, but there is ample space for both mingling and... More

We stayed one night in the Elizabeth room and it was an excellent choice. The room was lovely, the bed quite sumptuous, the bathroom was first class. All was very clean and stylish. The location was perfect and allowed us to walk to dinner. The parking was free and secured with a fence. The one thing that was a major... More

I had a wonderful experience staying at City House a couple of nights a week in May and June. The rooms and public spaces were very welcoming and comfortable with a noticeable attention to detail. Eva, the innkeeper, is fantastic and definitely an asset to the B&B. She prepared a great breakfast every morning and we even bonded over counting... More

The City House Bed and Breakfast is a lovely place that is located right across from the Susquehanna River. We stayed at City House in August of 2013 and our room was well appointed and quite inviting. The bed in our room (the Helen) was incredibly comfortable--in fact it was very difficult to leave it to attend to our business... More

This little gem was recommended by family in Harrisburg, as a place for us to stay over Thanksgiving, and what a find. It is a beautiful place, old world, open fireplaces, wooden floors and a lovely warm welcome by Eva, the Innkeeper. Eva will make you a lovely breakfast each morning and went to great lengths to find out what... More

I usually avoid B&Bs because with their frilly curtains, bedspreads and abundance of throw pillows, you feel as if you are sleeping in a 6 year old girl's bedroom. City House is not like that. Everything is high quality--a lot of money has been invested, and it shows. It is within walking distance of restaurants, bars, etc. It also has... More

This was the most casual of the B&Bs we stayed in on our 16 night road trip through the South. We were given the entry codes to the house and our room, in case we arrived and the inn keeper, Eva, was not home. As it happened, we arrived quite late, 7:30, and she was there to welcome us. It... As pretty much everyone seems to agree, the house is a gem and spotless too--the room was terrific and beautifully updated and thankfully devoid of the neo-Victorian decor that plagues B & Bs, the host was charming, the location is in-town terrific and includes parking as well as a river view of the beautiful Susquehanna. An easy walk to most... More

Shame we were on a tight schedule otherwise would have stayed longer than one night. This B&B is absolutely wonderful. Great hosts who have left nothing to chance from excellently decorated bedrooms, superb bed so comfortable we didn't want to get to offering little extras like the chocolates, cookies and tea/coffee making facilities. The home cooked breakfast was brilliant and... More

Not much to add to the other rave reviews but we really wanted to add our top rating in thanks for a nice stay. It all went well: reserving the room, smooth check in/out, easy gated parking, nicely appointed room and common areas, very quite (room in back), comfortable bed, nice bath, big shower, internet included, nice suggestions for dinner...
