Booked at this hotel for the 145th Reenactment weekend. Read reviews and was leary of the hotel. Got to Hanover and rode around looking for the EconoLodge. Drove around for about 15 minutes before I pulled out the reservation email to actually look at the address of the hotel, seems we had already passed it. They renamed it AGAIN! Its... more

Okay so many people review this hotel as being terrible but PLEASE consider the amount you are paying. I stayed in Hanover so I could save money from paying $130+ a night in Gettysburg. I had quite a savings! Now I wasn't too thrilled with the obvious pet odor in my room (I came with my dog) but it wasn't... more

We checked in about 3:00 in the afternoon after antiquing all day. We took a nap for about 1 1/2 hours and then left to attend a concert for which my husband had to sing. My husband had complained that he felt like he had felt things crawling on him but I dismissed it as ridiculous. Upon our return around... more

We spent two nights here during a week's vacation in Pennsylvania having stayed previously at Econo Lodges in Scranton and Lancaster. Choice Hotels offered a rewards program in the summer of 2007 for staying six nights which gave us a $50 gas card. Unfortunately the Econo Lodge in Gettysburg was closed for the summer for renovations. Thus we stayed at... more

I called and asked for directions. The manager was very difficult to understand. We had an extremely hard time trying to find this hotel with the directions given. When we topped the stairs to go to our room, one room door was open and filled with men watching a TV. They all stared at us as we went to our... more

Decided to stay in Hanover since many hotels were booked due to graduation and we needed to be near Gettysburg. Booked at Howard Johnson's and were not informed that the name had changed to EconoLodge. (Might have been helpful to have been informed!) Booked a non-smoking room for 2 and wasn't thrilled with the cleanliness of the room; debri on... more

Hotel is dirty and smelly...The whole hotel smelled of mold or mildew of some sort. The front desk agents were very rude and unprofessional. My room smelled like smoke and had smoke burns on the sheets when I requested a non-smoking room. My bed was very uncomfortable and the linens were very dingy and dirty. I ended up with bug... more

I went to Gettysburg for remembrance day 2005, The room itself was clean but the entire night I was there the heater would not kick on and when I reported this in the morning I was promised to have the price of the room refunded to my credit card but they never did. more
